Not much going on with me. Work was boring and slow. I ended up leaving early so I could come home and watch the Season finale of Law & Order, which was also farewell to Lennie W Briscoe. It was not so sappy, which is good.

H and I have decided to go ahead and spend on a motel for our anniv next month. We'll be there from the 6th thru the 8th. Ryan has graciously agreed to feed the cats while we are gone.

Speaking of cool stuff next month, if the POP's they're sending Madstone are any indication, we are indeed getting Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Which means instead of haivng to pay to see it once, I'll be seeing it many times for free. Wheee! Aparently, we got a big, inflatable Aunt Marge with an air pump of some kind. We're also getting Spiderman 2, and Stepford Wives, plus that turner Classic Series starts soon, which means a whole bunch of Kubrick!

We still couldn't watch Running Man. There is something wrong with the audio of the DVD and it will only play sound on the menu, not the movie itself. Lame.

We seem to have a problem with ants. Those big, horrible carpenter ants.
How does one get rid of those?

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] lirrin for hipping me to this article.
If this doesn't scare the hell out of you, you're probably not thinking clearly.

Horrifying in every concievable way )

I know I don't post a lot of political stuff here, mainly because I think its common sense that Bush is a liar and a fraud. I beleive he is setting up our country to take enormous steps away from civil rights and that if we don't nip this sort of thing in the bud, the freedoms we take for granted will be looked back at longingly by our children, and our children's children.

Dammit, it is NOT un-American to speak freely, regardless of one's political slant.
Voicing our opinions is one of the most patriotic things we can do:

PATRIOTIC:

\Pa`tri*ot"ic\, a. [Cf. F. patriotique, Gr. ? belonging to a fellow-countryman.] Inspired by patriotism; actuated by love of one's country; zealously and unselfishly devoted to the service of one's country; as, a patriotic statesman, vigilance.
