I didn't really get to finish my thought from earlier, as I was at work. While posting, I was "interrupted" by some guy named "Elph" who needed a membership, and a life methinks.

Is "elph" short for something? He sort of implied that it was not his "real name" but that mail would reach him using that name. Like I care either way...
And wouldn't you know it, he started asking me a bunch of personal questions.

I understand that in retail situations, many people feel that they have the right to ask personal things. At a place like Madstone, people may feel even more welcomed to talk personal with us, since we are already talking about films and our taste in them, which can certainly be called personal. But I kind of resent the implication that I'm rude or unfriendly if i don't want to answer every persons invasive inquiries.

For the record, if I don't know you I reserve the right not to answer questions regarding:

My religion, except as pertains to visible tattoos.
My overall health beyond how are you, or how are you feeling?
My wieght
My relationship with other memebers of the crew
Whether or not I "live around here"
Where my man is at.

Wednes's Very Special Friend of the Week:

Today's special friend is sotik. Real name, Marcus.
Marcus is a military guy, Army actually. He is young and very dapper looking, like all those skinny military dudes, you know...

After over a year of reading Marcus's journal, I learned many things about him. He is a romantic at heart, right down to the poetry and soforth. He is an excpetional photographer with a great eye and a splendid relationship with color. And I found that even if he disagrees with you, Marcus is open-minded, articulate and respectful of others veiwpoints. Not at all what i expected when i realized i had somehow freinded an "army guy".

I am taking special notice of Marcus today, as I just learned that he is to be deployed to Kuwait within the week, for what appears to be 18 months.

Mad Props to you, Marcus.

My hot hot work meeting

Work meeting today to discuss per cap. I'm going to look into new places to get us sammiches, since we don't have them anymore. Let me ask you all this: what is the one food you would most like to have at the movies that no theatre has? I will then steal your ideas to make me look smarter...it's a valuable skill I picked up around here. Ultimately, I listened to my hot hot boss talk for 25 minutes, it was Awesome!

Getting hooked up tonight, so that will be fun. I think instead of having peeps over tomorrow night, we may all go to the State to see Eveil Dead movies, whichever one they are showing. Granted, I'm not a large fan of those films, but its free and will include all my swell Madstone peeps. I'm kind of bummed I have to work on Sunday, but I'll be glad when I get the cheque.

I heard some people saying that Simpsons was not very good this season. I would like to take issue with that, on the record. I think Dana Gould becoming an executive producer is a fine idea, and that this season has been an especially funny one. I know some people just like to bash things that are popular, but why on earth would you include Simpsons in that???

In other news, that Chasing Liberty movie is doing terrible.
