Wednes's Very Special Friend of the Week:

Today's special friend is

sotik. Real name, Marcus.
Marcus is a military guy, Army actually. He is young and very dapper looking, like all those skinny military dudes, you know...

After over a year of reading Marcus's journal, I learned many things about him. He is a romantic at heart, right down to the poetry and soforth. He is an excpetional photographer with a great eye and a splendid relationship with color. And I found that even if he disagrees with you, Marcus is open-minded, articulate and respectful of others veiwpoints. Not at all what i expected when i realized i had somehow freinded an "army guy".

I am taking special notice of Marcus today, as I just learned that he is to be deployed to Kuwait within the week, for what appears to be 18 months.

Mad Props to you, Marcus.

Hi Marcus. Be Safe. Thank you for serving. I never would have had the scones to join the military. My Dad and lots of relatives served, and it made them good men. Me, I was afraid I'd fail so I never tried. Keep up the good work.
