A very special announcement:

We saw Sweeney Todd, I daresay it is in many ways a perfect film. It has singing, dancing, killing, and a bunch of truly exceptional performances by some of the best actors Hollywood has to offer. Tim Burton is a genius with an uncanny gift to put us in the mood for whatever he's showing us. This movie is worlds away from the non-musical version with Ben Kingsley, not that I don't love that particular version, but this was nothing like it. Anyway, if you haven't seen it yet, please do so, you will be richly rewarded.
If I was to have one complaint, it would be that the blood was too "painty". I'm sure that's what Tim wanted, but I just thought it was a bit too "DAwn of the Dead" for me.
