It begins...again.

Well, I'm completely settled into my new job, as evidenced by my newly found work related crush, K. I'm a big fan of crushes, and have probably even had one on some of you (I'm looking at you, lickingtoad). Such things are fun and harmless and did I mention fun? Anyway, if you're me, they're unavoidable. And this guy is funny, smokin' hot, and laughed at my joke about pronouncing Igor "EYE gore" like in Young Frankenstien. The guy I was saying the joke to had never even seen it.

Can you imagine, never having seen Young Frankenstien?!?

Now without further ado, the Friday Five:

1. What is the best part about late summer?

I don't know, I'm not particularly fond of summer. I guess the starry, starry nights.

2. what is your favorite memory and why?

I used to have a grandfather who had a pontoon boat. We used to go fishing off it, and it was totally fun even if we didn't catch anything. I always drank a whole bunch of soda and then we'd have to go back in.

3. when you were small, did you realize summer vacations were not going to happen forever?

I never really thought about it. I preferred school to "vacations" anyway.

4. where was your favorite summer vacation? why?

The time I went to camp. kissdbyagnome was there. I had a boyfriend at camp who caught me a frog. It was awesome. Although it sucked that I couldn't swim and had to stay in the shallows.

5. If you could have one last real summer vacation and cost was not an issue, where would you go and why?

I'd go to Philly to meet H's family, except we'd actually stay in a nice hotel, not with them.

Lastly, we (I) decided to hire the string trio. It'll be two violins and a cello.
I think I've decided on the music, but I'm letting it be a surprise.

After witnessing the miracle that was BattleStar Galactica, I had to give SciFi Channel the benefit of the doubt when it came to their new series Flash Gordon. So far, I gotta say meh.

Everyone is real pretty, just like on the WB. I have a feeling it will get good once we get past the basic setups and character development. For now, I'm going to continue to watch, even though all the chicks are freakishly similar and the commercials I'm forced to endure have been godawful.

I can't even tell if that little nerdy guy is even Dr Zarkov. I'm just gonna assume he is.

There's plenty of all new story here, Flash has a family and a first name. Dale Arden has a fiance who is not Flash. Oh wait, maybe she doesn't. And Flash looks incredibly familiar. Where have I seen him before?

And in case you had any doubts, Ming is quite Merciles, and Mongo is a dump.
I'm delighted that they are using a new version of the old Queen music.
Nice.

And now, I'm off to watch Big Love so K and N and I can talk about it when I see them.
