In order to round out my week of almost total slothiness, I watched two movies in a row with the roomate and his pal [livejournal.com profile] ringmasterlove.

First we watched Monsters inc. Ironic, since i only recently became aware of this news:

The movie was pretty good. Steve Buscemi was the bad guy, who was excellent. The movie had much more of a plot that i would have thought, and was funny and intelligent and cute. So it was a good use of my almost 2 hours.

Next up was League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. I had negative expectations for this film, since all the smart people i know told me it was not that great. I suspect that if you went in expecting it to be good, you wouldn'tve been disappointed. I, however, expected it to suck and was therefore pleasantly surprised. Here are some things I take issue with: Vampire chicks aren't supposed to walk around during the day. People you share split personality with don't take breaks from craziness when the situation gets difficult. The guy you think you can't trust *is* most often a lying scumbag. Captain nemo is not a pirate, and if he is, I don't want to know about it. Sean Connery only reminds me of SNL Celebrity Jeopardy now. Sorry Mister Bond!
And finally, Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn would not have had a parting of the ways.

Look at me, back at work...back where I belong.
(I bet if you sang that to the tune of that song from Muppets Take Manhattan it would be damn adorable)

Here I am back at work. I wanted to be here by 3pm, but alas yellowcab and I did not see eye to eye on that. My Hot Hot Boss was wearing that green sweater with the stripe on it. I wish he wouldn't wear that one, its not a good color for him. In the made-up workld in my head, I'm going to steal that sweater and replace it with a navy blue one. Mmmmm...navy blue.

I hope I can still do some voice tracking this weekend even though I haven't been able to reach [livejournal.com profile] madush69 anywhere. Cell phones people, charge 'em, carry 'em with you, answer them.

Hopefully I will get to borrow that Bowie CD Never Let me Down from the manager tonight. He is huge into Bowie; and I lost my copy of that particular album in the Great Tape Sale of '95. That is actually my fave Bowie album ever, better than Let's Dance.

I'm having people over tomorrow night, come on by if you want.
Actually, we're having a few people over tonight too.
By the end of the weekend, I'll have my space and privacy back!!!

Wheeee! It looks like I'll be getting back into voice over work now that my buddy [livejournal.com profile] madush69 has consented to let me ride his coattails right out of the gutter and into the land of moderate recognition and enough money to live on! Whoo hoo! Those punks at Clear Channel don't want to hire me...well fuck them!
Fuck them sideways!

In other news, its time for Wednes's Very Special Friend of the week:

And just for fun, this weeks special freind is [livejournal.com profile] madush69. Real name: Dan. I have known Dan for over a year now, met him working here at the Madstone. A few months later, I introduced him to LJ and the rest is some kind of unimportant nerdie history. Dan has a wife, a son, 4 cats and a job in radio. His cell phone plays the James Bond themesong when it rings, and he enjoyes Audrey Tautou films and Jalapeno cheese stuffed pretzels. Here at the theatre, Dan gives curtain talks and entices people to come to my desk and get more membership information. Much of my success in membership sales in enhanced by Dan's tireless efforts.
Dan will be seen in the upcoming films "High Adventure", and "Low Budget" which he also co-directed and produced. Yay for Dan!

And since I'm clearly a day behind, I'll do the Friday Five sometime tomorrow.
