Would you survive a horror movie? Find out @ She's Crafty
After seeing a few segments of the Golden Globes, I decided to see Lost in Translation. Like many of you, I was curious to see how well Sofia Coppola (insert GF3 joke here) can direct...since I never did get around to seeing Virgin Suicides.
Turns out, I learned that she can. Bill Murray can be wonderful and understated, and cute little blondes can be in a movie and not bother the hell out of me. Giovanni Ribisi can appear unattractive and act like a complete tool, and someone I swore was a cross dresser for most of the film turned out not to be (I think). It was a good movie to see alone on a cold afternoon. And may I suggest a jalapeno cheese stuffed pretzel to go with your caffienne free diet coke?
Mmmmm*
Seriously, what a fun little film. it was bright and colorful and truthful in that "slice of life" kinda way.
Next on my list will be: The Cooler.
Also, we are bringing back The Station Agent featuring the amazing Peter Dinklage. If you have not yet had the pleasure, please report to the Ann Arbor Madstone sometime next week.
