Wrestling my cats into the carrier for the trip to the vet has not been the simple, authoritative task I had for some reason assumed it would be. Our ride is going to be here soon and methinks it will be a two person job to get them from the bathroom--where I have them trapped--into the carrier.

Maybe if I hold the carrier open, outside the door, they will run into it when I open the bathroom door. Or maybe I can think of some kind of non-shredding way to get them into the cage...I mean carrier.

Man, for being so tiny, they are very, VERY strong!

Clarence is coming home in about an hour. Aparently, she is fine and came out of the surgery okay. Pentelope however, has been hiding under the couch since we tried unsuccessfully to put her in the carrier this morning. She clearly does not know what is going on, but may relax a bit once Clarence comes home safely. Pentelope is going tomorrow morning.

We finally got the definate word on the apartment. All is well, and we move in on Monday, as planned. They are giving us new carpet and flooring in the hallway, and it is already repainted. So we will be in good shape.

Our firewire is fixed, so I can once again watch that SNL sketch where Will Ferrell plays the cowbell in Dont' Fear the Reaper. God damn! That thing is funny...

She came out of the cage all stumbly and sick acting. I'm not sure why they would let her leave while she is obviously still drugged. It is awful to see her like that. Both cats are now hiding, presumably sleeping. I'll be glad when this is all over with.

Pentelope is in the carrier now. She is very Very VERY upset, and it sounds like she is going to claw her way out, although I don't think she can. Hopefully she will relax and go to sleep soon. And I wish I had bought some rescue remedy...

Clarence is still laying low. I still have tons and tons of packing to do. And tomorrow I'm back to work. So for now, I'm off to bed.
