Ringu ***Spoilers***
Nov. 30th, 2002 07:49 pmI finally watched Ringu (Japanese original version of The Ring) and was careful to make a copy of it so I will not be dead in a week...so that is good.
I heard right, the dubbing was not done by anything resembling a ntaive English speaker...so people are frantically looking for something and saying "Please...where are you actually". And when they want to ask what's wrong with someone, they say "How! How?". There was other funny word stuff, but I can't remember it now.
Still, Ringu was pretty scary, and the part where the girl comes out of the TV is cool. Some of the death is neat to watch, and some of the scenes are shot for shot like the newer, American version. Good stuff. i would have liked a clearer copy though. Does anyone know how old that movie is? 80's maybe? Anyway, its worth the time if you come across a copy.
