Ringu ***Spoilers***

I finally watched Ringu (Japanese original version of The Ring) and was careful to make a copy of it so I will not be dead in a week...so that is good.

I heard right, the dubbing was not done by anything resembling a ntaive English speaker...so people are frantically looking for something and saying "Please...where are you actually". And when they want to ask what's wrong with someone, they say "How! How?". There was other funny word stuff, but I can't remember it now.

Still, Ringu was pretty scary, and the part where the girl comes out of the TV is cool. Some of the death is neat to watch, and some of the scenes are shot for shot like the newer, American version. Good stuff. i would have liked a clearer copy though. Does anyone know how old that movie is? 80's maybe? Anyway, its worth the time if you come across a copy.

1998. The R1 DVD should be available when the remake is released to DVD. At least ... it'd better be!! (*shakes fist at Dreamworks*)

Yeah, I read somewhere that they are going to make it a set with the original and the american version. I don't know if there is any truth to that though.

The ringu that i saw was translated almost perfectly... however i did see a bootleg that someone did themselves.

I rented it from a place in town... sadly i dont think i could make a copy... i barly have a VCR... i could put it on to DVD =)

There is the possibility that the translation is the same, but i did not notice it.
Also if i put it on dvd it would be on 2 because i can only fit 90min on one.
But yada yada
Anyways, i want to put Wizard of Oz with pink floyd together on dvd... i need to do that some day...

I've never seen that really work, unless i was on acid. Taht seems to be the key to that Oz/Moon thing.

The same thing is true if you watch Firestorm and play any Bee Gees album. Seriously. I've seen the same version of Ringu that Noverflow saw, the dubbed one must have sucked and been entertaining in it's own way.
