I'm gonna break 30K today!!!

Well, The Cat's Apprentice still has but one lonely review on Amazon. Sort of verifies my assertion that it's not as good a novel as Sadie. That's okay though, everything in the pipeline is much, much better. The serial killer novel has an ending, I just have to write it. And the story I'm writing for NaNo is coming along nicely, and also has an ending planned. Anywhoo, if you've read Cat's Apprentice and didn't hate it, how's about leaving an Amazon review.

To thrill and delight you, here's a college composite picture taken of me in 1992, the year I graduated from college. Yes, I'm THAT old.

Work has been cutting my hours and it's now time for me to look for a new gig. They fired a bunch of people with tons of seniority just before last Christmas. Of course, there really aren't any gigs in MI for someone of my unique (read: paltry) qualifications. What I'd really like to do is go to grad school, but I'd need some kind of high-end government bailout to make that happen. Fie!

This Saturday is my birthday party. Many of you have yet to RSVP, though enough people have confirmed for me to say, this is gonna be a fun, fun party. Plus I'm making a pineapple cake. The day after that, we're having dinner with my brother, Mark. He invited us to his house, which I have never seen. That's gonna be good.

Not everyone is interested in my NaNo results, but I look back on previous years to see how I'm doing.
As it happens, I'm doing about average.

Stuff in the novel is really starting to happen, climaxes and such (literary ones, you pervs!). So I might feel inspired to do another chapter tonight. I like being comfortably ahead at this stage of the game.
