Sweet Merciful Crap!

Fire at Universal Studios destroys sets, vault. Aparently the clock tower from Back to the Future was damaged, but there are duplicates of the stuff in the vault. They say nothing was lost forever...I hope that's true.

Got to do dinner and a movie with my old pal sudrin last night. It's always a joy to see him. We ate at La Shish Charlie's Mediterranian. As per usual, it was delicious. We got to talkiing about the whole scandal involving terrorism monies and murder and La Shish. We planned to look it up on Wikipedia, but alas, they have no entry.
And then we had a veiwing of The Man Who Laughs which he had never seen and is one of my all time fave silent films. Good stuff. I am also now the proud owner of REAL copies of both seasons of ROME on DVD, not just crappy recorded off TV ones. Yay!

ROME is great stuff if you've never had the pleasure. But then, so is most of the stuff HBO has to offer.

Some asswipe snatched my SIL's iPhone from her while she was on a bus in Philly. She is uninjured and didn't lose anything but the phone. Still, what kind of selfish douchbag behaves that way? Stealing from a young woman on a bus. Those of you who have met my SIL know that she is wicked awesome.

I caught up on my sleep today. Just in time to go back to work tomorrow.

Nightmare Sinema showed Last Man on Earth late last night. Of course I stayed up watching it. It's not as scary as it should be, but it's still an excellent film.

Mmmm...just ate my La Shish leftovers. Yummy.
