Who needs cops when we've got Cosmo?
May. 12th, 2008 11:01 amI'm at work right now, and they changed my schedule again after posting it. I hate that shit. So instead of going home at 3:30 and cooking dinner for H, I have to stay until 5pm. Not a huge deal, just annoying is all...
We shot the stabbing hand for the commerical yesterday. Stabs provided by
smarbaby, blood mixed by me. It looked awesome, all drippy and red. I can't wait to see the rough cut.
Going out of town this weekend to try and get some reading and writing done, and to celebrate the birthday of
absinthofheart. I finally found some stuff from my publishing house that is to my liking (read: doesn't suck like the first 5 books I tried to read), two short story collections that are quite entertaining and well written. One of them is by the guy who designed my book cover. They are scary and great, so I'm looking forward to having some reading time.
While we were grocery shopping yesterday, I happened to glance at an issue of Cosmo. One of the features was, and I kid you not, "how to tell if he's capable of rape." Now I realize that that topic is serious and important, but it just struck me as being alarmist. Do we really need Cosmo to tell us who to watch out for? What am I missing here? I found it quite disturbing that a man might get tagged as a rapist because of a feature in Cosmo. *shudder*
Is it me, or does the new Adam Sandler movie look terrible?
Why are he and Mike Meyers doing such sucky movies???
