I've been sleeping crazy hours lately, due in no small part to the triumphant return of The Murder Pipes, and a crazy writing and editing schedule. Those of you not getting updates from my Groovy Writing Journal do not yet know that I've decided to go ahead and log 50 hours of editing time in March, that I might win the NaNoEdMo. I find that I do much better work when someone puts me on a schedule. Otherwise, I have no damn motivation.

The weirdest thing happened when I went to Group on Thursday. I've been really sick and tired of Group lately, but it's still required that I go every week. Once I get back to work, I only have to go every other week. Anyway, I was walking into the group room with my bag of McDonalds fries and QP. And I hear this "Oh My God...Wednesday?" And I'm thinking Duh, I'm only here every fragging Thursday at 6--how big a surprise could it be that I'm here again.. Turns out that this amazing woman I went to college with is actually on the board of directors for the place where I have therapy. I had tried to Email with her maybe 2 years ago, but she was in the middle of a bunch of stuff and just seemed put out by me. As it happens, she was delighted to hear from me and called me later that night. Of course I haven't called her back. I will though, because she is really cool.
You know, when I was younger I couldn't talk on the phone enough. I called people for the most mundane, unimportant stuff just because I felt like chatting. I also reached out to people a lot more in general. I do that less and less these days. I'm not sure why.

I forgot to review A Somewhat Special Smallville where misleading previews lead you into a gripping scene you didn't exactly suspect but kinda figured it would be somthing like that. And then some guy takes off his shirt and a hot chick gets saved by someone *cue terrible emo music*. Never fear though, because they have once again strongly suggested that next week Jonathan "Bo Duke" Kent is going to die. Sorry if some of you haven't seen or read any Superman comics, movies, or blurbs in Tv guide. But if you haven't, what the hell are you watching Smallville for? Why don't you rent some Lois and Clark and leave the rest of us to our nerdy business.

There hasn't been any cool shark news to report in quite some time. Yeah, a few people have been attacked, and more of them are "fighting back" and surviving and all. Newsflash: if sharks actually wanted to eat people, we couldn't go into the water at all. And we certainly couldn't "fight them off".

Contrary to popular beleif, the Great White Shark is a mere third in the rank of man-eaters and shark attacks on humans. Both the bull (shark) and the tiger (shark) are more aggreessive, and more likely to kill a human for the purpose of eating it.

However, these are not the scariest sharks in all the sea. Some people assert that there are still Megalodons floating or...swimming around out there. I don't think so. But I've never been to the depths of the ocean. And after seeing Open Water I don't think I ever will.

Above is a recreation of the megolodon recently reconstructed by the San Diego Natural History Museum. It's cooly cool. But Wednes, you may ask, How big were these Megolodons, REALLY?. Well, to be succinct, Pretty Goddamn Big.
