I'm stuck on The Sims.

I'm supposed to mow the lawn, but damned if I can find the lawnmower.
Maybe it's in my pocket *checks*...nope!

In other news, there is an un confirmed rumor that Audrey Tautou will play Madame Maxine in GOF. Also, Chris Columbus will not be involved int he 4th film. Odd, because they are already shooting it...one would think that would be old news.

Speaking of old HP news, Cedric Diggory does appear in POA. He is the Hufflepuff seeker and beats harry when he is distracted by dementors. So with POA coming out soon, why are people still discussing casting choices for Cedric? and Why can't I find who is playing him at IMDB?

Russell was supposed to come by as I am still sans hook up. I'm sad to report that he did not come by or call, which I think is pretty POS considering the weeks events. Oh well...I'll be sure to return the favor some time.

And all you local types, don't forget that the Kassy/Good Adam ice cream social is Saturday night at my place.
Please feel free to bring an ice cream or ice cream topping.
Aparently Topher is bringing nuts, so be sure to make a juvenile joke about that when you see him.

Working all day again! It's pretty slow, but active enough to keep me from getting too bored.

I've figured out why many people, including myself, were stoked to see Van Helsing. Many of us remember 10 years ago after Coppola's Dracula came out, and how fab Anthony Hopkins was as Dr. Van Helsing. That was the first time I heard about a Van Helsing movie, which was supposed to be a sequel to Dracula, and star AH. But rights got haggled over and time got wasted, and here we are, 10 years later with a flavor of the month hunk playing the souped up little brother of the good doctor. From what I've heard so far, Van Helsing isn't even realted to the Draculs. Duh?!?

Happily, I've sold 3 memberships and one renewal today. Compared to the last few weeks, that is freaking awesome. The guys from Electronic Boutique are still here promoting the VH video game.

Oh, and [livejournal.com profile] lirrin , I met your freind Brian today as he came into the theatre and introduced himself to me. I love when LJ peeps do that! It's like being locally famous. I also saw my old Doctor friend, and was not wearing the chiming necklace he gave me. Sad, because I wear it often and he has no idea.

I was going to make a poll about vampires, but the lovely [livejournal.com profile] porcelain72 not only beat me to it, but she totally eclipsed the lame, retarded (by comparison) poll I was thinking of.
I am curious to talk vampires who, like zombies, are the stars of some of the very best and very worst in horrorshow history. My fave vampire movie of all time is Salem's Lot, which was made for TV in the 70's by a not-very-well-known director named Tobe Hooper. Funnily, this is indeed the least mysogynistic of all of Hooper's films. And it's some good shit. Despite that, there is a remake coming out soon which I have discussed recently in this very journal.
It's just that vampires and zombies have appeared in some of the most horrible films ever.
By all means, share your pics for worst zombie and/or vampire film ever!

You'll all be glad to know that my throat is almost back to normal. My singing voice is slowly returning, which I love. I don't hink I'm a great singer or anything, but singing along with whatever music is playing is oddly satisfying and uplifting. And speaking of music, where's the new Fiona Apple already?

And just to be clear, I am still going to see Van Helsing. H and I will rpobably go on Monday after he takes me to Outback Steak House for real, not like last week when he was sick and could not go.

Lastly, in the interest of tooting my own horn, I will draw your attention to one of the two new userpics I made last night. Harry Potheads such as myself should find it witty and cool.
