Going to work on my day off is usually bad...

But I did see Gangs of NY today.

Daniel Day-Lewis was fucking awesome!!! Leo gave a solid performance, but no big whoop. I think I'm getting bored with that whole revenge theme in movies.*
Plus the romantic subplot felt tacked on, it served no real purpose except to make Henry Thomas' character do something incredibly stupid. And I love that guy, too...

Tell you what though, they had some chicks who Kicked Ass in that flick!
That was pretty cool.

*I forget who it was who says When you take revenge on a man, it makes you even. But if you forgo revenge, it makes you superior.

As luck would have it...

I forgot this whole other day that I had progressed on my research project for work. This means I had more done than I originally anticipated. Without revealing any company secrets, I think I did an okay job. But I'm going to dig up some more later.

I still haven't found a band for this pink floyd cover band thing, which is because I still can't beleive what a stupid, cheesy, lame idea it is. Besides the fact that good bands don't usually play for free unless they are my pals, and most of my own musical pals are out of town. They actually want to have air guitar contest for Sid and Nancy. Who comes up with these things?

Never mind, I don't need to know...


Got my new wall calendar, now that they are half off. Wouldn't you know it, its Harry Potter. It even came with stickers that are shiny and cool. Yes, it takes very little to impress me. Maybe I'll go stare at some foil.
