Dammit, not the cell phone calls too...

I've been laying pretty low for awhile now, not just online but in real life too. A few days ago I was about to sit down and work on Chapter three of my new story about Hazel. H said to me "hey, I downloaded this thing and I want you to watch it and tell me what you think." I figure it's a trailer or something, and I go watch it. It turns out it's this 9/11 documentary called Loose Change which you should feel free to download from here. In fact, you should feel free to pass this on to everyone you know, or have met, or have heard of. Everyone in the US of A needs to take a look at this.
I had seen the pics of the pentagon a while ago during the whole "where's the plane" period when people started asking questions and then stopped. But most of this info was totally new to me. I'm cursing myself for not taping the 9/11 coverage that morning, I was home. But at the time, who would've ever thought they were lying? Is this documentary false? Is it? Please, convince me that it is!!

Myself, I have never been shy about my criticism of the government. I wouldn't even go so far as to say I hate Bush, because that guy is far too stupid to orchestrate a company luncheon, let alone some sort of covert ops on the scale they are talking about here. But he is a bad man, and his family is full of bad men. Of course in my own 9/11 conspiracy theory, the falling of the towers was accidental and unplanned. No so, according to this film. By all means, if somebody can prove this thing wrong, please do it. After seeing it (I had to stop it twice to take a break and cry) I was so angry I was shaking. Why isn't anyone asking these questions? Why isn't anyone doing anything? If this is true, and they are getting away with it--I just...I have no words. If this is true, I would give my own life to expose it. That's how angry I am. Except how does one go about that? I wouldn't have the slightest idea. Frankly, I'm getting really tired of feeling so helpless over what goes on in my own country. The only thing that separates us from some sort of revolting proletariat is the fact that we're all too busy with our video games and tivos and ipods to really investigate what's going on. I've heard people I consider friends say "I don't want to know." Can you imagine not wanting to know? I can't. But again, I'm at a total loss for what we can do about it.

In other news, I skipped group and cut my hair today. Those two things are not really connected, they just happened today. I was so sick of my hair I could barely stand it. It's not so great right now, but it's okay, and it's nice and short, and mostly even. I'm gonna get a good bite into Chapter three of my new novel tonight and probably read some more of Cell. Anyone else notice how often Steve-O mentioned people crapping their pants when they die? a LOT. Last but not least, I got some widgets for my computer. I didn't know I could get widgets since I have OSX 10.3 and not 10.4. But yahoo has a widget thing you can get. So now I have a little zombie that walks around my screen, and one that says it's 400 some days till the new Harry Potter movie. So I guess I'm as guilty of anyone of letting trivial shit lure me away from real issues. He's an awfully cute zombie though, and he comes in color and B&W.

'Why isn't anyone asking these questions?'

Your right! Someone should make a documentary where they are being asked!

No, my left!

Well well, I see someone is wearing his Clever Trousers today!

Michael Moore fancies himself the guy whose job it is to expose this kind of shit, and his 9/11 doc is a laughing stock compared to what these guys have done.

Despite common conception that Michael Moore is leftwing, in my experience the left actively dislikes him just as much or more then the right.

And sorry about the sarcasm up there, I just woke up and more of it leaked out then I intended.

Meh, it's all good.

As a pretty staunch leftist, I think Michael Moore is a pompous, self agrandizing windbag. He makes us look bad, and he distorts facts just as often as the people he's debunking.

I saw the documentary before, when one of my friends was in a similar state of mind as yourself. Since I'm more of an all-around skeptic (and have even found myself questioning my dad's, who is more of a flaming liberal than I), I looked up some articles online about it. There are ones that support each side, of course, but this is the most helpful, I think. I also don't believe that Bush was capable of coordinating such an attack, though I wouldn't put it past Cheney and his gang. Until I see irrefutable evidence, though, I can't believe that it is a government conspiracy. If it is, there is a trail somewhere, and someone WILL find it. I just don't know how long it will take.

The usual around here seems to be that the evidence comes out after everyone involved is dead.

I read part of the Evidence section on that website and had to stop. Anger rising more than I want to deal with this morning (and no outlet for it). Just infuriating that it happened that way. But I believe it.

Really, watch the videos sometimes. it's kind of long, almost an hour I think. But...man, it's unbeleivable.

I'll have to work up the nerve.

I don't know if I watched the correct version, but it was really short.

I have always believed that there had to be bombs planted within the building for it to collapse like it did. I also believe there are many questions to be asked, about more than just 9/11.

That's the rub, our government is suppose to be by the people, etc. Yet, the elite group we call "the government" answers to no one. Yes, officials can be elected and so forth, but the government as a whole is much bigger than that, and they do what ever they please, especially the American gov. It's easy to keep things quiet when you can kill anyone and get away with it, because they are the law.

See, other countries have a harder time getting away with these things, because we are the law to them and similar countries like us. But who keeps us in check, there is no one! Any country that wants to rebuke us militarily and has the power (China) knows it will lead to WWIII if not worse. That's not including nukes.

So, Wednes, I absolutely agree with you. I just wanted to add to what you were saying.

Yeah, I am pretty scared of what will happen if things don't get sorted out with Iran. Frankly I don't understand why we think it's up to us to decide who gets to have WMD's, especially since we're the only country to ever drop them on anyone. We need to just keep our dick in our pants for awhile...as I'd really rather not see a nuclear war in my lifetime.

The Pentagon was the first conspiracy theory to emerge, even before the towers because it was just so obvious that the lawn was undamaged and there was no evidence of a plane.

I...I don't even know what to say.

Are you going to buy this documentary? I just spent an hour and a half at the website and I want to see the whole thing now. It's unsettling, but not suprising.

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2006-05-01 07:37 am (UTC)(link)
H has the whole thing on his computer, but I don't imagine we will spend the $20 on it until I am back to work.

Also, I just sent you an Email to your hotmail account.
How was your weekend?
