Dammit, not the cell phone calls too...
I've been laying pretty low for awhile now, not just online but in real life too. A few days ago I was about to sit down and work on Chapter three of my new story about Hazel. H said to me "hey, I downloaded this thing and I want you to watch it and tell me what you think." I figure it's a trailer or something, and I go watch it. It turns out it's this 9/11 documentary called Loose Change which you should feel free to download from here. In fact, you should feel free to pass this on to everyone you know, or have met, or have heard of. Everyone in the US of A needs to take a look at this.
I had seen the pics of the pentagon a while ago during the whole "where's the plane" period when people started asking questions and then stopped. But most of this info was totally new to me. I'm cursing myself for not taping the 9/11 coverage that morning, I was home. But at the time, who would've ever thought they were lying? Is this documentary false? Is it? Please, convince me that it is!!
Myself, I have never been shy about my criticism of the government. I wouldn't even go so far as to say I hate Bush, because that guy is far too stupid to orchestrate a company luncheon, let alone some sort of covert ops on the scale they are talking about here. But he is a bad man, and his family is full of bad men. Of course in my own 9/11 conspiracy theory, the falling of the towers was accidental and unplanned. No so, according to this film. By all means, if somebody can prove this thing wrong, please do it. After seeing it (I had to stop it twice to take a break and cry) I was so angry I was shaking. Why isn't anyone asking these questions? Why isn't anyone doing anything? If this is true, and they are getting away with it--I just...I have no words. If this is true, I would give my own life to expose it. That's how angry I am. Except how does one go about that? I wouldn't have the slightest idea. Frankly, I'm getting really tired of feeling so helpless over what goes on in my own country. The only thing that separates us from some sort of revolting proletariat is the fact that we're all too busy with our video games and tivos and ipods to really investigate what's going on. I've heard people I consider friends say "I don't want to know." Can you imagine not wanting to know? I can't. But again, I'm at a total loss for what we can do about it.
In other news, I skipped group and cut my hair today. Those two things are not really connected, they just happened today. I was so sick of my hair I could barely stand it. It's not so great right now, but it's okay, and it's nice and short, and mostly even. I'm gonna get a good bite into Chapter three of my new novel tonight and probably read some more of Cell. Anyone else notice how often Steve-O mentioned people crapping their pants when they die? a LOT. Last but not least, I got some widgets for my computer. I didn't know I could get widgets since I have OSX 10.3 and not 10.4. But yahoo has a widget thing you can get. So now I have a little zombie that walks around my screen, and one that says it's 400 some days till the new Harry Potter movie. So I guess I'm as guilty of anyone of letting trivial shit lure me away from real issues. He's an awfully cute zombie though, and he comes in color and B&W.
