How do you know we're live? Penis.
Can you even beleive it's almost time again for Scary Meme Season? Soon I will be reminded of everyone's favorite scary movies, what kind of zombie they are, and thier trick-or-treat halloween haul. It'll be grand I tell you, simply grand!! On that topic, who wants me to throw a Halloween Party? Halloween is on a Monday, so I'm thinking of a casual but costumey affair the preceeding Saturday, which would be the 29th. If I throw it, will you's come?

It seems I'll also be hosting a once weekly, or perhaps twice monthly movie night for the girls in my group at my place. It will be some sober, awkward fun methinks. But maybe I'll end up really enjoying myself, who knows. There's all kind of crazy stuff going on with the girls in my group, but I'm not supposed to talk about it. Yeah...
My fetching employment counselor has fixed it so I can get a skirt, blouse, jacket and new shoes for interviewing in. They are sending me a regular check so I can get this stuff online. Wheee!! Now all I need if for my job developer to find me a bunch of good interviews to go on, which she has not yet.
Tomorrow I'm having lunch with Kassy, then EMDR, then I think I'm doing a bit of shopping. We forgot to buy toilet paper at the store and have been using Kleenex for a whole day. Yeesh. Usually, I'm a very good shopper and always use a list so I don't forget stuff. *shakes head at self*
New LOST and Law & Order tomorrow. That'll be good. I slept thru SVU tonight, I've been feeling like crap lately. But it also means I'll have replays of CI (with Chris Noth!!!) and SVU this weekend. TV gods are smiling down on me, it seems. Oh, and new Smallville (did somebody say Fortress of Solitude?) which will be filled with Tom Welling and John Schnieder, even if it sucks as bad as last season.

I do find that, as a rule, gays and potheads love Halloween most. Oh, and pagans.

Either way, I'm sure it varies only slightly from Special Victims Unit...which, it turns out, is also made up.

I never got into the SVH stuff. I started reading Nancy Friday and Stephen King in jr high, so I missed that whole phase of things. Although I was very into Judy Blume for a time.

after the Sweet Valley stuff, I moved to teenage horror...but even that went a little into high school...until Matt Schnaare asked me what the heck I was reading those for when I could be reading adult books...somehow that gave me permission to when I didn't think of giving it to myself...

One of the wierd things about my mom is that she bought me adult books at a very early age, mostly from garage sales. I recall reading Love Machine in jr high and the principal calling our house to tell my mom. And she was like "So?".

this summer I happened to be walking near where I used to live, and they were having a rummage sale at the house where my best friend from elementary school/junior high lived...(her parents still live there)...I decided to stop by even though I hadn't seen either her or her family in ten years...she was there, and I got to talk to her quite a bit, and it was very good...the point of this anecdote, however, was that one of the books being sold was Forever...I guess my friend had two copies for whatever reason...I yoinked it, because it's such a nostalgic thing from my childhood...partly because of it was forbidden for a while...obviously, now I can read whatever the fuck I want...
that's a funny story about your mom, though...
