How do you know we're live? Penis.

Can you even beleive it's almost time again for Scary Meme Season? Soon I will be reminded of everyone's favorite scary movies, what kind of zombie they are, and thier trick-or-treat halloween haul. It'll be grand I tell you, simply grand!! On that topic, who wants me to throw a Halloween Party? Halloween is on a Monday, so I'm thinking of a casual but costumey affair the preceeding Saturday, which would be the 29th. If I throw it, will you's come?

It seems I'll also be hosting a once weekly, or perhaps twice monthly movie night for the girls in my group at my place. It will be some sober, awkward fun methinks. But maybe I'll end up really enjoying myself, who knows. There's all kind of crazy stuff going on with the girls in my group, but I'm not supposed to talk about it. Yeah...

My fetching employment counselor has fixed it so I can get a skirt, blouse, jacket and new shoes for interviewing in. They are sending me a regular check so I can get this stuff online. Wheee!! Now all I need if for my job developer to find me a bunch of good interviews to go on, which she has not yet.
Tomorrow I'm having lunch with Kassy, then EMDR, then I think I'm doing a bit of shopping. We forgot to buy toilet paper at the store and have been using Kleenex for a whole day. Yeesh. Usually, I'm a very good shopper and always use a list so I don't forget stuff. *shakes head at self*

New LOST and Law & Order tomorrow. That'll be good. I slept thru SVU tonight, I've been feeling like crap lately. But it also means I'll have replays of CI (with Chris Noth!!!) and SVU this weekend. TV gods are smiling down on me, it seems. Oh, and new Smallville (did somebody say Fortress of Solitude?) which will be filled with Tom Welling and John Schnieder, even if it sucks as bad as last season.

it just occurred to me that "SVU" makes me think "Sweet Valley University", heh...

[identity profile] sudrin.livejournal.com 2005-09-28 02:04 pm (UTC)(link)
I hope its better, but I'm predicting this will be the end for the Mighty Smallville.

[identity profile] rivetkitten.livejournal.com 2005-09-28 02:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I didn't realize until the end of SVU yesterday that it's a 2-ep crossover with tonight's L&O. That means I have to watch tonight too... and dammit I was thisclose to thwarting the addiction!!

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2005-09-28 03:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Cool. Once I was the only person who dressed up for Halloween at my whole work. Wankers.

I do find that, as a rule, gays and potheads love Halloween most. Oh, and pagans.

I assume that's where the chil'lin of Sweet Valley High ended up going? Or is it made up?

Either way, I'm sure it varies only slightly from Special Victims Unit...which, it turns out, is also made up.

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2005-09-28 03:10 pm (UTC)(link)
I shoudl think it will be the last season either way. He's looking less like a SuperBoy and more like a SuperAdult all the time.

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2005-09-28 03:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Aw dammit!! I totally forgot about that and missed last nights. I guess I better get caught up since I won't be able to see the SVU ep until next Sunday when they replay it.

Fuckety!

[identity profile] uterdic.livejournal.com 2005-09-28 05:51 pm (UTC)(link)
I saw most of SVU last night, it only had Linda Carter and Julian Sands and the bad guy from Total Recall (The Cap'n from Beverly Hills Cop), and a handful of other famous people. I can't wait for tonight. I'm glad my mom really likes it so she doesn't mind watching it this evening.

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2005-09-28 06:49 pm (UTC)(link)
That's cool.

I hope she is also a Smallville fan.

Happily, I did get a synops from the people at [livejournal.com profile] l_and_o. And I think the name you're looking for is Ronny Cox.

[identity profile] uterdic.livejournal.com 2005-09-28 06:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, I knew his name, but he will always be the bad guy in Total Recall to me.

[identity profile] lostsatellite.livejournal.com 2005-09-28 07:11 pm (UTC)(link)
oh no, there's a whole book series of Sweet Valley University...never read a single one, as I grew out of the series by that time...I'm sure date rape was probably dealt with at some time, so it's not that far off...

[identity profile] purplecat-a2.livejournal.com 2005-09-28 08:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Ronny Cox will always be the Senator/Vice President from Stargate SG-1 to me. I think his name was Kinsey (you could ask H I'm sure he would know).

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2005-09-28 08:26 pm (UTC)(link)
I think of him more as the broken arm guy from Deliverance.

*shudder*

;-}

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2005-09-28 08:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Yikes.

I never got into the SVH stuff. I started reading Nancy Friday and Stephen King in jr high, so I missed that whole phase of things. Although I was very into Judy Blume for a time.

[identity profile] uterdic.livejournal.com 2005-09-28 08:35 pm (UTC)(link)
See, that's way too new for him to be remembered as. I'd know him as, Dick Jones from "RoboCop" before I'd know that.

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2005-09-28 08:41 pm (UTC)(link)
I will. Thanks to Battlestar Gallactica, we talk about SciFi all the frakin' time.

[identity profile] lostsatellite.livejournal.com 2005-09-28 08:44 pm (UTC)(link)
I read lots of Judy Blume...I think she's an excellent author to grow up with, and I think the issues she raises are still relevant now...Judy Blume is awesome...

after the Sweet Valley stuff, I moved to teenage horror...but even that went a little into high school...until Matt Schnaare asked me what the heck I was reading those for when I could be reading adult books...somehow that gave me permission to when I didn't think of giving it to myself...

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2005-09-28 08:49 pm (UTC)(link)
heheh.

One of the wierd things about my mom is that she bought me adult books at a very early age, mostly from garage sales. I recall reading Love Machine in jr high and the principal calling our house to tell my mom. And she was like "So?".

[identity profile] lostsatellite.livejournal.com 2005-09-28 08:55 pm (UTC)(link)
I bought Forever when I was in fifth grade, and my mom saw the first sentence (something involving "getting laid") and she made me take it back...I secretly read it when I was with my grandparents for a week without parents, the summer before seventh grade...

this summer I happened to be walking near where I used to live, and they were having a rummage sale at the house where my best friend from elementary school/junior high lived...(her parents still live there)...I decided to stop by even though I hadn't seen either her or her family in ten years...she was there, and I got to talk to her quite a bit, and it was very good...the point of this anecdote, however, was that one of the books being sold was Forever...I guess my friend had two copies for whatever reason...I yoinked it, because it's such a nostalgic thing from my childhood...partly because of it was forbidden for a while...obviously, now I can read whatever the fuck I want...

that's a funny story about your mom, though...

Back Atcha. (about the delightful story I mean)

Whoa. If that guy can steal your identity, I'm guessing your drivers liscence photo is very, very blurry.
