I hadn't seen that Clergy Gone Wild site before. Nice to have all the links in one spot, but damn, there are a lot more scary preachers out there than even I was willing to admit.

Not only is the survival of our economy up to the whims of S&P, but they're culpable in the 2008 metldown for rating securities that were really junk as AAA. Crazy shit.

All I know is that the stock market is legalized gambling, and I'm continually pissed that workers got swindled out of real pensions during Reagan's term when everything got pushed into 401ks and shit like that. I have one of those funds (a very tiny one), and moved it over to guaranteed annuities before this latest disaster went through. Might as well try to save what little I have.

I downloaded the RofPofA movie.
Decent, but they left out some plot points that the original had and I got glimpses of other movies in there. Most notable at the end, there was a serious reference to 12 Monkeys.

Oh, and Draco Malfoy is in it.

#2: You probably HAVE heard of Standard & Poor's and just heard it abbreviated as S&P. It's always been the oranization that rates how good an investment any business/organization is.

#6: Any chance you could get designated a special guest and thus be relieved of some fees or even have some of your expenses paid for?

I thought S&P was full of crap, so I didn't really associate them with the same Standard and Poor's that is tanking the stock market. None of that high finance crap makes any sense to me. Pretty sure that's how they like it.

It's only about $30 for the table at the con. The cost is the buying of books, printing of swag, etc. Plus I have to find an assistant/driver *makes goo goo eyes at you* and pay for gas. So it's always a bit of an investment. Plus it looks like the biggest name they have lined up thusfar is Wolfman Mac.
