(OMG!) Lacks a certain credibility...

Watched the Halloween shows on FOX last night. I'd like to reiterate that it's okay for me to watch Sunday Night FOX because when I started watching it 20-some years ago, it was not yet the bastion of evil misinformation that it is today. Anyway, it was pretty funny--but I just don't love it as much as I used to. This may be because I have more of a life now.

Speaking of media, I've noticed that Yahoo!News has become more disturbing than usual. Many of their news stories come from the AP (associated press, in case you didn't know). So after the story it will say (AP) indicating the source. I guess now they are piping in stories (mostly entertainment or human interest news, it seems) from a source called (omg!). Pardon my saying so, but it borders on offensive to say something like "Gay suicide rates increase in youth." (omg!)
Such a thing really does demean a news piece--usually one that could use a little classing up in the first place. I am reminded of people who wonder why they aren't taken seriously when they spell "you're" like "ur". Ur is pronounced Err, which is actually the name of a Mooninite. There is no implication of a Y sound in the "word" Ur. That's why the word You is spelled with a fucking Y in the first place.

Didn't watch Dexter or Walking Dead last night. Will watch when I get home from work today and get my NaNo words written. So please, no spoilers. I mean it. I will hurt you.

Speaking of the NaNo, I'm increasingly more excited the further in I get on this. I am a genius, and can't believe it's taken me this long to write a zombie novel. It kicks the ass of that one I started in 1995, and a lot of the characters are radically different. Some of them may even live. I doubt it though...
So far, I'm on schedule. I'd like to get pretty well ahead by the end of the weekend. I always need to take a bit of time off the weekend of my birthday. This NaNoWriMo thing is a lot tougher when I have a day-job. I wish I didn't. *sigh*

I wish I didn't have a day job either. Gets in the way of so many things.

Not that I want to lose my job, Universe. Don't get cute.

Maybe. But even if you were respected and had good equipment to work on, you still wouldn't be doing what you love to do. That would always gnaw at you, I think.

But yeah, there's got to be a way a world-class complainer can make money. Hmm, you might have to go on FOX News. ; )
