Oh, the Things you can Read!
Did not make it into work today. In fact, I could not even make it to my computer this morning to send in an "I'm not coming in" Email. Fie. Luckily, my work is pretty reasonable about such things.
Have decided to become a regular contributor at ZombieZone News It will help me stay in an undead state of mind while working on the new book. I'm thinking that my first article will be about the rise of feminism as demonstrated by the Barbara (or Barbra, for you purists) character in the two versions of Night of the Living Dead. For the record, I ONLY acknowledge the Romero version, and the Savini version. Anything that features Sid Haig or a white Ben can go fuck itself. Anyway, it's a fun site and appears to be run by a passionate and well-versed zombie guy.
Still making regular contributions to Extraordinary Women of Paranormal and Horror blog. I've almost reached the end of my Ladies of Villainy segments. This week's blog will feature what I refer to as Extra Fictional villainesses. That is to say that even within their milieu, they are legendary, artificially man-made, living dolls, or exist solely in the mind. That's gonna be loads of fun. I may even get started on it today since my head is slowly starting to unfog itself.
Next up, I'll be hauling ass on a new short story that is a mere skeleton right now. A guy from my publishing house is putting together an anthology about hauntings. Hauntings aren't really my genre of focus, but I'm betting I can make this into something cool, just for him.
BTW, does anybody know if there's an easy or fast way to upload a mood theme from LJ to here? I spent a very long time making my all-Wednes mood theme and would like to bring it over.
