Albums of long ago:

I was talking about my old album collection (the vinyl kind--spin the black circle-if you will). I miss some of them very much.

I had what I think was the first version of Disneys' Chilling Thrilling Sounds of a Haunted House. it has scary sound effects on one side. The other side had this chick narrating stories over the sound effects the stories seemed very scary then but I'd have to hear them again to say if they hold up well.

Then there were various chipmunk albums. I had Chipmunk Punk which came out in the early 80's and was ol' Mr Seville belting out Blondie's Call Me and Benetar's Hit Me With Your Best Shot. I also had a 60's copy of Around the World with the Chipmunks. This one has the chipmunks and Dave touring the world and singing the Christmas sone, and some stuff about Gondolas. Good listenin'

I also miss: Alice Coopers Billion Dollar Babies, Sgt Pepper, More of the Monkees, Jethro Tulls Aqualung and Songs from the Wood, and Thick as a Brick (which I actually had on 8-track...it sucked in tha format), and CSN&Y's Deja Vu.

What album from your past do you no longer have and miss terribly? I bet there are some great stories surrounding these.

I really miss the song Cotton Fields by CCR. Also, there's a song by the Evil Mothers called I Like Fur which was my all time favorite song back in high school but I got rid of the CD and can't find another one now. ASS. That Chimpmunk Punk album sounds badass. I hate their Christmas album but that one actually sounds cool. Because anything having to do with the Benetar is sweetly righteous.

It's all true.

If you ever want to rob my parents house and get it, I'll be glad to play it for you.

Be warned, they are evil overlords, except in a really uneducated way.

This is long

I'll risk it. I'll come in through the front door and put on these sweet ass sunglasses and then be all like, sweet to your parents. I'll flip up my collar and say something like, "Behold the awesomeness that radiates from my calm cool early 1980's demeanor." Then they'll be all like, "No way!" Because I'm sooo sweetly badass. Then I'll strut to where the records are kept, I know where they are because I'm sweet. Then I'll find the Chimpmunk Punk one and head for the door. But not before one of the "Rents" gets saucey and in my face. They'll say something like,"You're so awesome, stay here with us." And I'll say,"Wrong, this is a recovery mission,(lower my sunglasses) Buster. I'm out." Then Pa will move in and scream,"You can leave, but the record stays, punkface!" "I can't leave a man behind, pops, get it?" That pushes his anger buttons and he goes out of control. I smirk and tell him to take a chill pill which kicks him into overdrive and sends him totally nutzoid. I can see it's not going to be easy for me to get out of this one so I call on the rest of my commandos with a solitary power chord that I wail off of my sweet axe(guitar). Then Loverboy crashes through the wall just like the Kool Aid guy, except everyone says "Oh no!" instead of "Oh yeah." Except for me because I say "Oh yeah" because Loverboy rocks harder than anything else, ever. Then they break into the song Turn Me Loose which is my cue to haul ass with sweet style. So I moonwalk out the door with record in hand. Just then a police officer shows up and he's all red in the face and pissed because the music's so loud. He looks at me and says, "TURN THAT MUSIC..." I search his hardened asshole eyes for compassion, and find it when he makes the peace sign and exclaims,"UP!" Because he's a fan of The Loverboy. Then we high five and I take off. A clean getaway. That's how it would go down if I were to go get the record back. Only it would be more sweetly badass.
