Quarrantine
I'm gonna talk about Quarrantine, and I'm not gonna cut for spoilers. I presume that if you cared a whole bunch about seeing it, you'd have almost certainly seen it by now. Then again, I just saw it today...okay, I won't post anything spoilery.
Anywhoo, this movie has an excellent cast featuring plenty of people I've seen on Law & Order. Most notably was Denis O'Hare, who plays a wide variety of crazy on L&O and played a drunk in this one. He was quite good, though I certainly would have liked to have seen more of him. He wasn't in nearly as many scenes as he should have been.
It has that shaky camera work a lot of people don't like. I like it fine. My only complaint about the visuals is that many scenes were way too dark. Sometimes dark is good to amp up the suspense and overall sense of fear and dread. But sometimes it's just annoying that you can't see what the hell is going on.
I don't care for that Jennifer Carpenter or that stupid exorcism movie she did. IMO there's only one good movie about an exorcism. Anyway she was the lead and she was not very annoying. So that's fine.
Cutting to the chase, this movie is brutal, scary, shocking in parts. However, the trailer completely ruined the ending. Completely. If you haven't seen the trailer (or have forgotten it), do NOT watch it again before you see the movie. I didn't, but I still remembered the trailer and it sapped any and all suspense from the end. Aside from that, I enjoyed this movie very much and think it's worth a watch if you like horror, zombies, bloody murder, etc.
Speaking of murder, I'm off to finish killing that character. A someone on Facebook pointed out, she'll die of old age if I don't get a move on.
