Whelp, I missed work again today. I just missed a week in January due to norovirus, and now I am rendered basically useless by a passing kidney stone. I have a terrible pain in my side...and a few other nasty symptoms I'll refrain from telling you all about.

I'm not cooking dinner tonight, because I'm feeling too lousy.

Tomorrow morning I have to get up and go to the doctor. Hopefully they'll give me something for the pain. It feels like a jagged metal Krusty O is lodged in my side.

Not sure when I'll make it back to work. I guess it will depend on the company policy regarding coming in to work on strong painkillers. We shall see.

Heaven's no.
We'll be here. I seem to be in equal pain whether sitting up or lying down, so it doesn't really matter.

And by this time tomorrow I hope to have some painkillers.

I use to be very prone to kidney stones, but thank God I haven't had one in like 4 years. I'm pretty sure mine was from dehydration, because I just forget to drink sometimes.

Yes, I'm the same way...especially since I work on the phones all day. I can't be drinking my minumum 64 oz. of water when I can't just go to the bathroom when I want.

Eep. I had a kidney stone once. Most horrible pain in my life--but once I got to the ER, they gave me the good drugs. Of course an hour in the waiting room waiting to get in was nasty. I will never be able to watch "The Brave Little Toaster."
