Wow, this snow is crazy. I'm actually quite impressed that we have power, us being so prone to power outtages and all. It's pretty and all, but my ass is staying inside until work tomorrow.

I'm baking some cranberry quickbread to send to H's family for the holidays. I'm also doing some almond cherry cookies and some choco chip per H's request. I'm also going to do some peanut butter fudge, but have to go shopping again before I make that. We don't have nearly enough peanut butter in the house for a double batch. I do enjoy baking for the holidays, I just wish I had more time.

No granola this year. That's right.
I hope no one is too sad about that.

Watched Dreamgirls last night. It was quite entertaining and good. I can see why Eddie Murphy was pissed to not get the Oscar, it's not like he had good roles like this one all the time.

Turns out, a few people I know don't have anything cool to do on Christmas day. So I'm opening my place up for a low key, potluck, hor's d'ouvres kind of thing. Do reply to this post if you're local and would like to come over and share in our holiday goodness. Should prove to be a very small affair, but better than staying home doing nothing, I'd imagine. And Oh yes, there will be Mad Libs.

This is not to be confused with NYE which will also feature hor's d'ouvres and Mad Libs. New Years Eve will be a larger, more raucous event if I have anything to say about it, which I do.

Mmm, your baking list sounds quite yummy. I need to get going on that, too. Especially for our neighbor who's been really good about plowing our driveway for us this season. Need to encourage that kind of behavior.

I want to see Dreamgirls but never have time to turn around much less sit and watch a movie. ugh. Maybe I will get it for christmas or my birthday (which **LUCKY ME** /sarcasam is like two weeks after christmas)

I would love to come over for christmas or NYE, but alas I am not remotely close to you so I guess that is a whopping no. Sorry. =(
