Not a gift grab at all...

If any of you are planning on sending a card or gift from my wedding registry (and I'm not saying you should, but I know some of you will), I implore you to please, please put your real names and LJ names on the card or gift note or however they do it. If you don't, I might not be able to send a thank you card, which I totally want to do.

This has happened before with gifts and cards and I really want to be able to thank everyone for their thoughtfulness.


I feel bad enough I still haven't send a thank you card to [livejournal.com profile] sudrin for the lovely, early gift.

Anyway, even if you don't feel like sending us something, you should still check out our registry because I worked really hard on it. ;-]

I'm totally using your registry because I just learned from NPR that it's totally inappropriate to show up to a wedding with a gift. Miss Manners said you should send it ahead of time, and I didn't know that! I always take the gift to the wedding! Did you know that?? Why doesn't anyone ever tell me these things?

The last wedding I went to, they opened gifts at the reception. We had to beat feat out of there because our present was crappy and I didn't want everyone to see how crappy it was.

I think as far as bringing gifts to the wedding, there's some wiggle room there. Not everyone wants to pay shipping either...
At any rate, we'll have a gift table so you can do whichever you want. Of course, just seeing your pretty face there will be a great gift!

I could have sent you that Brita thingy, why didn't I see this before now! Gave mine away VERY recently. :-P Never used it, it was just gathering dust in my kitchen.

Sharon got me one of those pitchers with the filter in it after I moved here. That was nice, as I've only been meaning to buy one for like 3 years. So, I drink more water now. Not A LOT more, but, you know.. "some", as opposed to "none". I certainly wasn't going to bother before without a filter, the water here is awful.

You guys...

Drinking more water is good for like, every system in your body. Trust me, I think my hemoglobin used to be made entirely of Mountain Dew.
