Got to chat with my MOH, [livejournal.com profile] missgrete today. That stands for Maid of Honor in case you don't know. Turns out, she'll be in town for a whole week before the wedding to help me get ready and do everything. She's growing all the flowers and making the center peices. It's always nice just to talk to that [livejournal.com profile] missgrete. Funny thing is people keep asking me what I want for showers and bachelorette stuff and general pampering. Truth is, I have no idea what I want, so I need some suggestions. What do you do when you want to pamper yourself in the girliest manner possible?

I ordered the novelty pens for the favors. We're making tiny Mad Lib books with pens that have our name and wedding date on them. (By the way, my name will be Wednesday Lee Webster-Friday after the wedding, but I'll still use my old name professionally.) Isn't that just Teh Awesome? I thought it was genius, myself.
Not sure what I want to do about covering the tables. Table cloths are more expensive than you'd think, plus I'd need a whole bunch of them. There should be some kind of giant roll of economy table covering you can buy for occasions like this.

Our living room lamp broke. I get to pick out a new one at the grocery store tomorrow. Woot.
I love getting new stuff. I also ordered some "Love your Body" pins from Cafe Press (monies going to support Big Fat Blog) which I'm giving out to my wedding helper chicks along with their other gift.

Speaking of gifts, I'd like to give a shout out to [livejournal.com profile] lirrin and her etsy store. A lot of the badass jewelry I've been sporting lately comes from there. Do check it out.

Sopranos was really good tonight. If you ask me, people are gonna be dropping like flies by the end of this thing. Know what else was good? The Presitige. I seriously need to own that one. I love Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale anyway.

Oooh OOOH! I know right after I had my daughter, my family pitched in and got me a spa day with massaging and the like and even though that's really not my sort of thing, it was incredible.

Cool, that's something to think about. I don't really do the massage thing though. I don't like strangers touching me.

But the rest of the spa treatment is good stuff.

I liked The Prestige but I don't really feel the need to buy it. Blame that on Tesla not having more screen time. Actually I want a film with nothing but David Bowie as Tesla and Michael Caine as anybody he wants to be.

I agree, Tesla was damn compelling.

There is such a thing as a giant roll of economy table covering. You should be able to get it at a party supply store. I know of one that sells it if you want me to check it out. It's really cheap, thin plastic. And it looks like it.

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2007-04-17 12:08 am (UTC)(link)
Really?

I wonder if someplace like GFS might have some.

[identity profile] nate101000.livejournal.com 2007-04-17 08:15 pm (UTC)(link)
I would expect them to have it.

I won't bother with an, "... I told you it'd be awesome" comment. So.

... um ...

How're the ... cats?

:)

Fine, thanks.
