Best Laid Plans
Today H and I planned to go to Cobblestone Farm, which is where we want to have our wedding and reception. Of course, we couldn't go yesterday because of the holiday. We couldn't go today because nobody picked up their phone all dang day. I wanted to take my caterer to the kitchen so they'd see what they'll have to work with.
I'm pretty excited to have free catering. Two friends who work in the kitchen at an unnamed hotel are going to do all the cooking there and bring the food over to us. We're having 6-8 different hors d'ouvres, two kinds of pasta, crudites and a fruit and cheese tray with some fancy bread. And some kind of sandwiches. It's gonna be delicious. The food budget will stretch to forever with real caterers cooking!!
I also wanted to look over my book contract, but it hasn't arrived yet.
I predict that it will be here tomorrow when I get home from Group.
So instead of doing what we planned, H played WoW all day. I read and edited the first half of my new novel which desperately needs a new title (as I've mentioned). I'll be taking suggestions for the title--it's about a woman who changes into a cat to smite her enemies. The underlying theme is betrayal and magick is a major plot device. Does that help? It's a housecat named Clarence.
Anyway, the new book needed much less work than I thought it would. Of course, the second half is gonna be more difficult, I'm going to tackle that tomorrow and Thursday. After that, it's
novel_in_90 and my bad ass serial killer story.
Later tonight, I'm making H some chocolate peanut butter chip cookies, and a nice dinner of salmon and rice pilaf. Then we're going to watch Bible Black, which I've never seen. Speaking of movies, I wish Pan's Labyrinth was playing near me.
And now...a lovely quiz entitled "How will you get dumped?"

Trying to think of novel titles, might there be some sort of shapeshifting god or goddess that would be appropriate? That's the first possibility that comes to mind.

I'll have to noodle it some more.

Okay, I just had a really stupid idea that amused me. How about "Clarence Earns His Wings"? See, it's stupid, and yet a little giggleworthy, no?

If anything, Clarence earns his horns. S/he is a bad cat in this one. Well, a good cat but a bad person. ;-]
It'll come to me, it's just a matter of time.

I didn't know it was on the upper level. That's going to be a pain in the ass for them. ;-[
Thanks for the info.

I came up with another possibility last night. It might be a little over the top, but maybe not. How about Nine Lives of Death? Too ABC Movie of the Week?
