Phoney McRing Ring
Oh joy!! My new phone arrived yesterday and I've been spending literally hours fixing it up and figuring out how to do all the stuff my old phone did. I'm never going to use my phone to do anything fancy, like check my Email, unless there's some kind of emergency. I've yet to have an emergency that I need Email for, but I guess you never know.
Anyway, I think it's weird that anyone would have to take time to learn how a phone works. I'm from a generation of people that work a phone by plugging it in to the wall, and picking it up when it rings. We didn't need our phones to take pictures, entertain us with games and music, shoot video, or have twelve different rings from your favorite movies and Tv shows. Of course, we don't need all that crap now; but it's hard not to want it when it's just so damn cool.
I went ahead and signed the book contract. I read it over several times, and there doesn't appear to be any trickery afoot. I'm not sure what they're going to do for me as far as marketing and printing and stuff. I just hope I sell enough to make them think I'm worth printing off a bunch of copies. And you all might want to start squirreling away monies because I'll be begging each and every one of you to buy my book when it comes out--either as a download or soft cover version. I might also need some reviews from those of you who've read it. So put your reviewing hats on!! ;-]
Finally got my Kitten Claws manuscript printed and in a folder so I can start my edits. Unlike my poor Franklin novel, I think this one will shape up into something scary and cool. The only thing I'm saving from Franklin is Raymond's story and Franklin himself. Ray Ray was far and away the best part of that book, the rest was just an exercise in NaNoWriMo. That reminds me, I'd better shoot Chris Baty and Email and let him know I'm getting published so he can brag about me in the FAQ. ha HA!

Which Horrible Affliction are you?
A Rum and Monkey disease.
Not sure if I mentioned this already, but I received and then watched the Unrated, Uncut version of The Descent. There is a new ending, that is far better than the old ending. The old ending having almost ruined the movie for me, was changed into something wonderful and much more what I wanted. Realism is awfully important in certain types of films. So if you saw The Descent, and the ending bothered you, do try this new one on for size. The rest of the movie is, as you may know, fantastic, scary, suspenseful, and gripping even though some of these women are irritating. In real life, people are sometimes irritating, so it works dramatically. ;-]
Oh, and I'm ordering my handfasting dress this week.
I have a clever plan that let's H pay without seeing it, or even a pic of it.
