I finished H's scarf. It's five and a half feet of thick, warm, camouflage goodness. Since I want it to be a total surprise, I can't even let H know that I figured out the whole knitting thing. This means nobody else in his family can have a knitted gift this year since H does all of our package sending. Nor can I make myself a hat and wear it around unless there's some sort of deceptiveness involved, nor can I go out yarn shopping, because why the hell would I need more yarn if I can't knit? It's gonna require some covert ops.

On another topic, how come I never knew Bill Clinton was such a badass?
I like him more now than at any point during his ~~reign~~ presidency.

No, H never goes to LJ. He just listens to my stories of LJ Drama second hand. ;-]

My looms are cheap and plastic, it was about $20 for four rounds and a double straight loom which you could use as a single as well. So not a big expenditure, even if it doesn't work out.

You could knit H's family and yourself stuff and tell H you commissioned someone to do this for you at a great price since you supplied the yarn and stuff. OR you could say that you bartered goods (for say knitted goodeness for tarot goodness...) then BOOM on xmas day you say hahaha I knitted it all:)

It's funny, but I think I've lost my skill for lying now that mater is out of the picture. But that sounds like something I could totally pull off.

BTW, you and Ian should really try to make it to my Halloween gathering on the 21st. It'll be pretty small and comfy.

We talked about coming, then his work asked him to go to another city for the month of October. So I don't think we will make it to your party:( However, I have to come back to AnnArbor for another shot, maybe I could take you out to lunch? I'm not sure when it will be, within the next week or so. I have to call and get my apt. date again.
