Nice job people, you did better this time and I made it more difficult.

Here's what's bugging me now:

--My back. If I don't exercise, it hurts. And I hate exercise, but I'm getting more consistent.
--Commemorative Coins. They are fake, the stuff they "commemorate" is often pointless, ghastly, or just fucking stupid.
--Julia Stiles. I've decided I just don't like her.
--SciFi channel, well 80% of thier programming anyway.
--Cabbies who talk about Jesus as if I'm interested and then get made when I suggest that Jesus has no problem with "foreigners" or "the gays."
--People who ask you a question and then get mad when you disagree politely.
--fat bias
--the relentless suggestion that I completely stop smoking pot.
--the relentless affirmation that I hate the idea of completely abstaining from pot.
--Mick Jagger is not going to live much longer, which is incredibly sad in a historical way.

More interesting and pleasant stuff:

--Today is Jim Dale's birthday. He is supposedly 71.
--Last night H and I took a zillion pics for my new mood theme, which will be of me, in a variety of moods. It will be availible for you punks to use when I'm finished, if any of you are big enough fans of mine to actually want the Wednes mood theme.
--I'm seeing DaVinci Code tomorrow for $1.
--Taking B-vits again is taking the edge off of this drastically reduced sugar thing.
--I planned a meal with no starch in it and didn't even notice. That's odd for us. Poor people eat a lot of starch so they can feel full. Every meal ever eaten here has either bread, rolls, rice, quinoa, cous cous, potatoes, perogies, or pasta. But not so tonight.
--The Greatest Movie of the Year comes out on Friday. Can I get a Woot Woot (in parseltongue)?!?
--Ween's country album is hilarious no matter how often I hear it.

And finally, here's a poll:

[Poll #796488]

How can you hate exercise? That's insane! Exercising the body and the brain is fucking awesome and leads to happiness and long life. For sure, man.

You (and the remainder of the stoned world) should quit smoking fucking pot!

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2006-08-15 11:22 pm (UTC)(link)
I hate excersize because I'm in terrible shape. If I didn't need it so much, I'd probably enjoy it a lot more. But I'm getting there.

Your position on marijuana use is well documented. It hasn't been as simple as I anticipated; and to be honest, my heart is only occasionally in it. But you know, it's a big, tanlged therapy thing that I'm still working out.

[identity profile] pleasing-tint.livejournal.com 2006-08-15 11:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, okay. You were just so sweeping with that statement that you sounded like me for a second! That makes more sense. Well, keep at it. When I go for a bike ride, I feel fucking amazing. It's just fun and good.

I know you have different reasons for the pottage and I prefer them to the brainless smokery that I normally witness. I hope one day you can find some peace from other means, obviously, since I feel there are many healthier alternatives. It's certainly not impossible and I'm always on your side, man.

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2006-08-15 11:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks man, I appreciate your saying that.

I'm in the midst of this whole thing where I'm paying close attention to how I live and eat and behave and take care of myself. For the first time ever a few weeks ago, I went to the doc and she said "you're doing great, just keep doing what you've been doing." No doc has ever said that to me before. So I'm glad of that, but still cursing myself for not having made more progress in a few areas. Ultimately, I'll want to be high less often once I master the fine art of not talking to myself like crap.

[identity profile] everythingtold.livejournal.com 2006-08-16 03:58 am (UTC)(link)
"you're doing great, just keep doing what you've been doing." No doc has ever said that to me before.

YAY! I'm so happy for you! :-)

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2006-08-16 04:55 am (UTC)(link)
Thanks, man.

[identity profile] nate101000.livejournal.com 2006-08-16 12:25 am (UTC)(link)
I just gotta throw this out there for exercise. Nothing feels better than that first smoke right after a couple hours at the gym.

[identity profile] pleasing-tint.livejournal.com 2006-08-16 12:31 am (UTC)(link)
I wouldn't know since I don't do either activity. My exercise is just stretching and walking and biking which are things I love doing when I can.

For pure pleasure in a nothing feels better way, I choose sex. That or really good headphones.

[identity profile] mysirensong.livejournal.com 2006-08-15 11:48 pm (UTC)(link)
I chose "she can damn well write one" and then freaked out cause no one else chose that, too, and now I feel snarky. LOL

On the pot thing ... I've had to cut it out almost completely because everytime I smoke I tend to get problems with my asthma (which is new in the last couple of years and really irritating) and I'm really pissed about it. When I hear people getting all judgmental and shit about pot it pisses me off because, look, I have fibromyalgia and unless you live your life with chronic pain every single fucking day DON'T tell me what I should and shouldn't be putting in my body, you know? It helps. It takes it away for a little while, makes me feel very good, very relaxed, very happy, and not a prisoner to my muscles and that's a good thing. It's a hell of lot better for me than the amount of alcohol I'd have to drink to have the same effect.

But, what I've learned is that people who have that attitude about weed aren't going to change their minds. And, they definitely aren't going to change mine. I'm pro-legalization, and pro getting people the hell out of prison for minor possession and stuff like that. If you have personal reasons for feeling pot is something that isn't good for you anymore (like me and my lung issues) then, by all means, I'll support your efforts to quit and I know how hard it can be to give up something that brings pleasure the way it does, but if you ever want someone else to stand with you and scream IT'S MY CHOICE PLEASE SHUT UP ABOUT IT WHILE I TOKE, I'm your girl. :)

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2006-08-16 12:09 am (UTC)(link)
LOL I'm very lucky to have a lot of support (and potheads) in my personal life. But because I have mental illness treatment to contend with, they want me to cut it out completely.

But if people could just stop because they wanted to, there would be no need for AA, NA, or rehabs. They would just need signs and people would read them and say "oh, okay" and just stop like magic. But alas...that cannot be.

And thanks for the support!

Once upon a time, there was a website, or bloggie thing on film called "I FIND MYSELF INDIFFENT TO JULIA STILES". Always loved that title. Sums up her talentless skank-ass purrrrrfectly.

Best movie of the year?! I'm there with ya baby!! Can't wait to see MATERIAL GIRLS!!!1! And you know I'm going!!!

S.O.A.P.! MATERIAL GIRLS!! The 18th is the best movie day of the whole damn year! ::parties::

FYI: CineHell is having a 10pm Thursday public opening of SOAP. I'm sure a CineHell near you will also. :-)

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2006-08-16 01:53 am (UTC)(link)
I'm not sure what my plans are for SoaP. H can't decide if he's seeing it or not.

[identity profile] eroslane.livejournal.com 2006-08-16 05:18 pm (UTC)(link)

There is no THINKING about seeing SOAP --- one just simply GOES to SOAP.

Geez. Does he need a beating? :)

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2006-08-16 05:29 pm (UTC)(link)
We don't so after cabs, tix, and snacks, we're looking at $50 to see a damn movie. So we're pretty careful. I just don't see how we can miss this one...especially now that we know he's gonna discuss the motherfucking snakes on the motherfucking plane.

I should have had #7. Damn it!

[identity profile] derekfz.livejournal.com 2006-08-16 02:04 am (UTC)(link)
does that include bias in favor of fat people? =)

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2006-08-16 02:16 am (UTC)(link)
LOL, no.

I'm surprisingly cool with bias toward fat people.

[identity profile] near-dark.livejournal.com 2006-08-16 02:09 am (UTC)(link)
I love Wikipedia.

And I really don't think that people put a whole lot of false information on there as people seem to think, the worse I've seen is random typos, usually mistakes get fixed rather quickly.

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2006-08-16 02:19 am (UTC)(link)
I dunno, I heard the elephant population had grown exponentially recently. ;-]

They say it has the same accuracy rate as the encyclopedia britannica. Then again, EB is out of date as soon as it's printed.

[identity profile] sudrin.livejournal.com 2006-08-16 02:38 am (UTC)(link)
I know Jim Dale is all Mr. Harry Potter and everything. That's great and all (I do love his voice) but I'll always remember him as Dr. Terminus from Pete's Dragon.

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2006-08-16 02:42 am (UTC)(link)
Wow...you said "Pete's Dragon."

Nobody ever mentions that movie anymore. Is it even on DVD? Or is it in the "Song of the South" vault?

[identity profile] sudrin.livejournal.com 2006-08-16 01:32 pm (UTC)(link)
It is available on DVD, but it never got the special Disney Treatment.

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2006-08-16 05:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Of course not. They're waiting for everyone to buy the other one. Once they have, they'll totally release the new one. And nto a moment too soon, I hear those poor bastards had to switch 12K gold toothbrushes!

[identity profile] kissdbyagnome.livejournal.com 2006-08-16 03:44 pm (UTC)(link)
I have a dislike for Paris Hilton. I just don't get why people are fueling that skank on!!? Also, who the fuck is buying her CD??? I wanna know so I can go shoot them. I have no idea really why I dislike her, but I do. Well, wait, yes I do... She's all my childhood bullies wrapped into one over privilege bitch.

I don't love exercise either. But i've been doing it as well. I doubt i'll ever love it, but I must admit it makes me feel better. But I don't always do whats right for me, and what makes me FEEL better. You've been dancing, and liking it. So the key to not hating exercise is doing something you half way like. For example, I don't like running, so have no intentions of running a marathon. I do like walking (as much as I can like exercise) and so would consider walking in a race. Good Luck on the exercise:) And congrats on what the MD told ya;)

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2006-08-16 05:28 pm (UTC)(link)
I will never understand the fascination with that Paris Hilton, unless it's fascination in a train wreck kinda way. I realize americans love gorssly underwieght skanks and we love the privileged class and all...but she's just too much. Do we really have to celebrate stupidity just because it has boobs?!?

I presume children are buying the CD, which makes me want to both laugh and weep.

[identity profile] kissdbyagnome.livejournal.com 2006-08-16 09:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah and whats up with that fake voice she has? I can't stand it.

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2006-08-16 09:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Does she talk?
I hadn't noticed.

[identity profile] kissdbyagnome.livejournal.com 2006-08-16 10:00 pm (UTC)(link)
yes, she talks in a sort of baby voice. now, as you can imagine, it's grating.

[identity profile] kjtoo.livejournal.com 2006-08-16 08:17 pm (UTC)(link)
If you do a little Internet research (not on Wikipedia) you'll find that many theaters will be showing Snakes on a Plane at 10:00 Thursday evening. Nearly every theater in a fifteen-mile radius of my house has a 10:00 showing on Thursday, including the theater just down the road, which is the one I'll be sitting in at 10:00.

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2006-08-16 09:03 pm (UTC)(link)
LOL

It doesn't look like it's playing late near me.
But I shall see it in due time.
