You read it, you can't UNread it.

1. My "life coach" seems on-the-ball. I'm gonna see her again in two weeks.

2. It was cool like an island song outside today, like 75 degrees or some such. *sigh*

3. I'm supposed to get together with [livejournal.com profile] lickingtoad tomorrow, but can't reach him by phone.

4. The Descent starts tomorrow. H will take me to see it Monday if he knows what's good for him.

5. My living room looks awesome.

6. I want to rewatch season one of LOST, since I just watched the first four eps.

7. I'm putting up a new Hazel chapter tonight.

8. Ghost fan? Check this awesome podcast out. (I'm looking at YOU, [livejournal.com profile] absinthofheart )

9. Alton Brown is making masa from scratch. He's amazing. His behind-the-scenes show was great fun!

10. The new "browse" feature for userpics is bad-ass. It's like they're having a contest to see how small they can actually make your userpics. Six Apart continues to delight and amuse.

11. I'm totally into that Superhero reality show. Stan Lee is awesome. So thanks, Ryan. :-/

12. I'm baking bread tomorrow. Haven't decided what kind, but I'm out of eggs, so that will limit me.

13. Oh, and everyone: just because you can imbed youtube movies on your friends page does NOT mean that you must do so constantly. It takes me MUCH longer to get through my page now. Once [livejournal.com profile] mock_the_stupid starts posting videos, I'll have to make blogging a second job. Hmmmm...not a bad idea.

14. I'm reading another Chris Moore book. I've decided his books set in Pine Cove are my faves.

15. The library downtown has a tank of lampreys near the entrance. They are really cool looking, but they wouldn't let me put one on me. No fair. I'm still bummed my anaconda bit me multiple times w/out leaving a scar.

16. The series finale of Sex & the City makes me weepy every time. (although the re-airs on KBD are shredded for time)

17. My new layout is kind of garish. I got tired of it quickly, and will change it soon.

18. This totally sounds like me:
QuizGalaxy.com
'Why are you going to hell?' at QuizGalaxy.com

19. Shark Week gets lamer and more repetitive every year. ;-[

20. The moon wieghts 1/81th of what the Earth does. No wonder we've never been there. ;-]

21. I can't beleive you all weren't more upset about the entire Garfield comic series being the desperate hallucinations of a starving abandoned cat. Of course, I've never read a stronger argument for not abandoning your pets like people do.

I noticed Alton Brown says "um" a lot, without a script. Sad.

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2006-08-04 11:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Um, I don't know what you're um...talking about. And um...I don't use an um, script either and I talk um...ah...fine.

Thank God. It gives me seizures.

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2006-08-04 11:31 pm (UTC)(link)
LOL

sorry. I was, of course, making it intentionally garish and I think I was a bit too successful.

10. The new "browse" feature for userpics is bad-ass. It's like they're having a contest to see how small they can actually make your userpics. Six Apart continues to delight and amuse.

What is this that you speak of?

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2006-08-05 04:35 am (UTC)(link)
Paid and permanent members can, on the posting page, hit the "browse" button and it brings up a visual menu of your userpics. You can also put the picks into groups. It's quite handy.

Was that Garfield thing a real episode, or something? I was more confused than anything.

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2006-08-06 03:30 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, it was a real Jim Davis comic that implies that all of Garfield is the hallucinations of the abaondoned cat as he slowly starves to death. There's a longish Wiki about it, if you just look under Garfield.

I put all my youtubes behind cuts just for you. ;-)

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2006-08-07 03:36 am (UTC)(link)
Aw...you din have to do that.
But that's awful nice of ya.

[identity profile] sudrin.livejournal.com 2006-08-07 08:17 am (UTC)(link)
Well, I did a little investigating and they were slowing down page-loads considerably.

We saw the Decent yesterday and it kicks ass! No, really, those women kick ass! I loved that the cast was all women. When we got up to leave the movie there was about an 80 year old woman sitting in the back, all alone. Both Ian and I were a bit shocked and delighted that she came to see such a bloody horror movie, and alone at that!

THanks for posting the podcast:)

No prob.

We are pretty stoked to be seeing Descent tomorrow.

I guess I wasn't signed in for that last comment, sorry.

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2006-08-07 06:28 pm (UTC)(link)
No big. I haven't hyped anyone else's podcasts lately.

Who Wants to Be a Superhero? is seventeen kinds of awesome, three of which are illegal in twenty-nine of the lower forty-eight states. I have many things to say about the show, all of which can be found in this general vicinity if you know where to look.

You know, I really just watched because my buddy wanted to. I was also curious to see how the fat chick would fare. But it was much more entertaining than I expected.

Yeah, I totally would have booted Tyveculous.
and Monkey Girl was so awesome!!
We totally called the Enforcer turning villian though.
