Laid around in bed extra long today with H. He's so cute.

I got to see Kassy and visit with her at length. It was awesome.

Was given the gift of cheesecake. Ate it. Mmmmmmm.

Watched Secret Window finally. How come nobody told me how bad this movie sucked? Okay, to be fair, Depp and Turturo were fun to watch. And I'm never opposed to the brutal murder of Maria Bello. But please, how could anyone not see that coming? I swear, I've been more suprised by endings in 'Cyclopedia Brown books. By the way, when looking up Sobels books, I notice that they are now spelled EnCyclopedia Brown. I would swear they were not that way when I was a kid. But since all my old books are locked away from me (Fie!) I have no way to check. Anyone?

I daresay the movie redeemed itself with the corn at the very end.
And they will catch Mort, because his watch is in the truck in the water. I thought the films direction was pretty crappy; all the major plotpoints were totally spoonfed to the viewer. Too bad too, as it was a waste of a pretty cool cast. Seems like I may have read that story a long, long time ago. But I'm not sure as I'm not even sure which book it's from. But I used to have a lot of King's short story collections back when I had all my books.

Surprisingly, there is not crap on TV. That is not usually the case on Saturday night. I enjoy Three Musketeers as much as the next guy, but I can only watch it so many times. I do enjoy Oliver Platt though. Even though there's nothing on TV, I've managed to get surprisingly little work done.

I was supposed to key in my edits for Chapter Three, and edit Chapter Four, but I haven't even started yet and it's 4am. Then again, H can't find his keys so I have to stay awake until he gets home. And that won't be for at least six more hours. So if I start right now, I can probably get it done. I'll just see which SNL rerun and maybe play a game of solitaire, and then I'll totally get on it. Honest. ;-}

Hmm, I don't remember that movie sucking that bad. But I had just read the SK story, and I remember that there were differences that I didn't like. I believe its from Four Past Midnight.

When I was younger, my brother was big on Encyclopedia Brown books. And the ones I saw back then were always Encyclopedia... I've never seen one say 'Cyclopedia.

Oh yeah, and I remember thinking of Mort's watch immediately, and was surprised that it never came up after that.
