Too poor to be a starving artist.

Why do 4" D-ring binders have to cost upwards of fourteen freakin' dollars?!? Don't these OfficeMax types know I'm on a very strict budget? Can't they just understand that my editing is really, really important and just hook me up with some binders, dividers, hilighters and maybe a couple of red pens?

God I miss being in school, where all that stuff ws cheap or just lying around for the stealing borrowing.

Thanks to the printing prowess of N, I now have more copies of my manuscript than I know what to do with. H is punching holes into it tonight so I don't have to use my 3-hole punch to punch over 400 pages just to put it in the binder I have not yet purchased. I do love this novel though, some of these characters are gonna be just fabulous.

Speaking of which, I made up some new character summary sheets, which is what I'm going to work on tonight until I am too tired to stay awake any more.

As long as I'm wide awake in the middle of the night, I think I'll make quesadillas with paprika chicken, spinach and goat cheese. Mmmm...and tomatoes. Just try and stop me!! (or don't)

Tomorrow I have to try to get to the mall before 6pm so I can pick up my new nerdy glasses with cool rhinestones in them. I am super stoked to get them, because they are really, really cute. Hey, Ryan...want to drive me to the mall? I'll totally make it worth your while. *flirtatious wink* Also, Chris, come over to watch the new Simpsons if you're not at your soul sucking job.

Goat cheese is certainly not for everyone, but I like it.

I'm going to ask H to buy my binder for me, to show me some support for my craft. He's a pretty cool guy like that.

I told Brian about the bathroom at the movie theatre. Hesaid he ordered some hinges, and will be on top of things as far as the little boxes go, also.
Goat Cheese is yummy...it's also one of Joe's nicknames.

Be sure to post a pic of your new glasses.

Have you tried dollar stores? Not for the binders.. but the other crap? :) I know the ones around here have highlights, pens.. and various other crap like that!
Just a thought :D

I had more to add to that.. :P

And second hand stores for binders? I see them all the time in Value Village!

Whoa, that is a good idea. I was going to go there to look for blankets for the shelter anyway.

I actually had that brainstorm yesterday, and will probably go out there today. I was gonna take the bus but it's a little snowy out today for my bootless ass*.

*technically, it's my feet that are bootless, not my ass.
