The weather outside is frightful.

But my word count is not.

I was supposed to go to EMDR today, but the cabs were running an hour behind and my ride decided to stay her ass at home. So I did likewise, baracading myself in the house and working on my word count. I really like this novel, even though it will need some major rewriting come January. I imagine it will take me that long to finish the first draft, even though I should finish 50K on time. I'm posting chapter 15 you-know-where and you can read about the horrifying murder of--well, I don't want to spoil it.

Speaking of spoilers, the tailies are making it back to the beach (which is not to be confused with Back to the Beach) tonight on LOST ha HA!! It should be most exciting to see Rose and Bernard reunite. I anticipate that I will cry.

It's snowy outside. That is to say that it snowed, and now there is snow everywhere. Think I might whip myself up some aztec hot chocolate. That sounds delicious.

Also, ROME season one just ended. If you haven't been watching it, you are missing out.
Digital Cable havers can get it on On Demand.

I cried like a baby. :)

And go you on the word count! I'm glad at least somebody I know is making a go of this.

I have a few NaNo buddies who blew by me like nobody's business some time last week. I'm having a really hard time sticking with it, even though I like what the story will eventually become in the next draft. ;-)

and yes, LOST was a huge weep-fest.
And for the first time, I was unmoved by learning someone's back story. Ana Lucia sucks.

The cocoa, is that made with milk :(? Make mine with soymilk, hahaha

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2005-11-24 07:26 am (UTC)(link)
It will generally have some milk. I don't keep soy around, but will rice milk do?

Anything that is critter-free is fine!

Good job on the word count!

And what is aztec hot chocolate?

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2005-11-24 11:15 pm (UTC)(link)
OOOh, it's good stuff!
Some people roast and grind their own beans in a mortal and pestle. I am not quite that motivated and start with a strong, dark chocolate (ghiradelli, usually). Heat in a pan with water, and a little milk if you like. That is actually called "Mayan" Hot Chocolate. if you put a pinch of dry hot pepper (which I do, usually cayenne) then it is called "Aztec".

Quite tasty!

And of course, thanks for the NaNo support.

Sounds yummy. I'll have to give it a try.

It is my favorite, non alcoholic, wintertime bevvy.
