You know, I don't often post about how much I dig H. He is perfectly happy to get nothing but hug and smooch for his birthday from me (he thinks he's not getting anything because his gift hasn't arrived yet).
He also doesn't know that I have enough money to rent us some movies and get dinner at Qdoba if someone drives us. I'm looking at you, P. I'm going to try one more time to find marzipan, then I'll have to try to make his favorite cake out of regular almond filling instead. I hope it works. My point is that for all my petty bitching, he is really a great guy and I'm lucky to have him.

I got some lovely holiday cards from Anne and fam, and fyreangel, who must never know how bad I still am at crocheting. So please, no one tell her...
I am pleased that anyone is taking the time to send me cards, even though I made a general announcement that i wouldn't be able to afford to send any out. Truth be told, i could make cool cards myself on the computer. But what is it now? 37 cents or something to mail one damn card! I could buy a bunch of blank tapes for what it would cost to send just 20 cards. And 20 cards would not begin to cover all the people I would want to wish well to this holiday season.

That said, if any of you far away types want to give me a gift, I am desperately in need of paid LJ time to tide me over until I get a job.
LJ would be nothing to me with only 3 userpics and no polls...speaking of polls...time to spend some quality time with my "new" bong The Flux Incapacitator.

Also, I got on the scale today wondering just how poorly I was doing at trying to watch my wieght. As it happens, I am down six and one half pounds!!! I can't begin to tell you how amazing this is, since I've not really been trying, or excersizing. Just shopping better and not drinking soda. I'm not kidding, I ate like a pound of potato chips and 3 butterfinger crisps in the last week and a half. It's insane. This is also the first time since my 21st birthday that I weigh less at the end of a year than I did at the beginning. Seriously, I have gained between 2-10 pounds every year since graduating from college until this year. So I think after the holidays and after my NYE bash, I'm really going to try to start some kind of excersize thing.

I swear, if I could just get a job I might not actually die bitter and alone in a bad neighborhood.

It's not much.. but I only had like 13 bucks in my paypal account :) ..and it takes 2 weeks to transfer from my bank account to it.

Glad you are excited. Yeah, soda is terribly bad for the teeth and the weight. Soda is supposed to be a factor is weight gain of at least a pound a year. Your smile will get a lot brighter now too, but I shouldn't talk. I'm a coffee consumer, I think I would cry if I gave it up.

I tried to do one 2 years ago, and developed some kind of ginger-bread rage or something when it kept falling apart.
