This isn't Frasier:

I hate network TV. Did everyone hear me say that? I HATE Network TV.

Frasier is supposed to be on, but instead is this show, which I think is called Will & Grace. They have an ad for this show across from my desk in the mall, that's how I know. This show has on it the most irritating people since Seinfeld. This mincing gay guy who doesn't act like any of the gay guys I know, and this squeaky voice chick and this other fashion plate type...who enjoys this kind of television?

Frasier's cast may be pompous silly and neurotic, but they are funny damn it, and I mean funny for people who read books and are smart.

Even FOX is showing crap...they seem to show only crap except on Sunday nights...I can't figure it out. How could the network that gave us Simpsons and the Xfiles, bring us Joe Millionare and American Idol?

This is wrong people. It is very, very wrong.

FOX actually has a few bright spots....Sunday night is a give-in but you also have Boston Public which is decent and 24 which is the single greatest hour of tv ever.

Oh yeah. I forgot 24.

Will and Grace

I don't find Will and Grace funny either. Maybe if I'm REALLY messed up and laughing at the pure stupidity of it... no, I'm sorry, not even then. And you know what? I don't like that squeeky voiced chick either and that's scary b/c I like most people. I don't know why a channel that'll bring good shows will bring dumb ones either.

Sad, but, true: The majority of American's have no taste!!--I mean just look at the ratings shows like American Idol, Are you hot, etc... rake in!

I'm disgustd by it all too!

And where is Frasier?

Does anyone even know where they moved it to?

[identity profile] lickingtoad.livejournal.com 2003-03-26 01:32 am (UTC)(link)
Now you see why I mentioned it. Insulting to one's intelligence, isn't it?

I swear, I'm going to grow up to become a powerful TV executive if only to put shows on such as:

'I Knocked My Girl Up In High School.'
'I'm A Troglodyte. (But I Can't Spell That!)'

... and so on.

Even FOX is showing Crap???

I hate to tell you Wednes, but Simpsons and "old" X-files, and the one or two other good shows Fox has had in its short history are definately, the exceptions. 98% of FOX stuff is total crap. Things like "Joe Millionaire" and "MadTV" and "COPS" are most certainly the norm on FOX. They have a couple of good shows, but not that many.

Actually, MadTV was funny in its first few seasons.

In fact, it began with very high viewership, because it was funny at a time when SNL was NOT. Artie Lange is a very funny man.

But yes, I guess you're right. But I think that wasn't always the case.

Even Melrose Place was more entertaining than the crap they have on now.
