Wednes' Words about War:
I don't really talk about political stuff very often, because I find politics to be terribly redundant, boring, and riddled with men telling lies. For the record I'd like to point out that GW Bush is a goddamn liar and that more than 70% of Americans did not vote for him.
That said, I'd like to say something to those people who defend war saying things like "how would you like it if..." and go on to describe horrible conditions in other countries. Yes, there are people I would not want to trade places with elsewhere in the world. That does not mean i think we should go to war over it. Frankly, I wouldn't like to be homeless; I wouldn't like to be in an abusive relationship; I wouldn't want to be jailed for smoking pot in my own home. That all goes on right here at home, and no one is decalring war on it.
China has been committing human rights violantions for how long? Do we give them 48 hours to stop, or we'll bomb them? No, of course not.
No oil in China.
If any other country in the worl asked us to give up our "weapons of mass destruction" we'd bomb them into the stone age for asking the question. What gives us the right to make this demand of other countries? And while we're on the subject, why is it always the US 'helping" the rest of the world when they haven't even asked for our help. Does anyone remember a thing called "Korea"? How about "Vietnam?" Why should we spend US dollars that could be feeding, housing, educating, and improving our own people, on other countries that don't even like us, or want our help?
We're about to go to war and people are going to die for things that have nothing to do with most of the citizens of the countries involved. If we're so free, why are we virtually powerless to stop it? Why isn't another country rushing to free the americans from a coke-headed tryant who stole the election? More importantly, why aren't we freeing ourselves?

no subject
So much potential constantly wasted, constantly thrown in the face of their own vices and selfishness. Thrown to idiocy.
