I Believe

--In Freedom of Speech (even for stupid people)
--Everyone can create something memorable if they try
--Seth MacFarland is hilarious
--All people deserve healthy food, and regular health care
--That a person can be healthy at any size
--Tony Soprano was whacked in the series finale
--All languages and cultures have value to humanity
--Religion is the crack cocaine of the masses
--Literature is becoming elitist (and should not)
--Hysteria over sexual mores is laughably ridiculous
--South Park is still goddamn funny
--M Night Shymalan consistently makes awesome films
--A novel without a compelling theme is not worth writing
--Reality shows about ridiculous families are not good for anyone or anything
--When there's no more room in hell, the dead shall walk the earth


I do NOT Believe

--FOX news is fair or balanced
--Wal*Mart helps people live better
--Harry Potter has anything to do with Satan
--Tolerating other languages is UnAmerican
--Tolerance in general is a sign of weakness or naivety
--All Americans have the same opportunities
--When films makes a lot of money, it's because they're good
--That Richard Gere gerbil thing
--Tom Cruise is gay
--Poor people should be drug tested to get welfare
--The Sex Offender Registry keeps anyone safe
--Poor people are poor because they aren't trying hard enough
--A Bachelors Degree is the key to gainful employment
--I will stay sober after work today


I used to Believe

--That my REAL parents were nice people who would be coming to get me soon
--God would kill me if I lied
--Stealing was sometimes justifiable
--Psyche Meds are a self-indulgent crutch
--No one would ever find me pretty while I was fat
--The Moon Landing was faked
--Getting books published would make me wealthy
--I would have lots of kids
--Cats could be trained to behave
--Prostitutes were low and icky
--Anyone who used drugs would die alone in an alley before age 30
--Capitalism meant freedom for everybody
--Hating people who hurt you would keep you from getting hurt again
--Pluto was a planet--wait, I still believe that!

*giggle* Smokey knew what she wasn't supposed to do, although if she wanted to do something, she would do it. You could get her to stop doing it if you caught and yelled at her while she was in the act. She was a good girl overall, though.

I still think Tom Cruise is gay, and it bothers me that he feels that he can't come out. I would still think he's a loon if he came out, but it would have nothing to do with his sexuality.

If he really is gay and he's been hiding it all this time for fear of it hurting his acting career, he's a douche. I mean, a guy can't help being a loon, but douchery is totally voluntary--so I hope that's not the case.
