Just to be clear, the captions are below the pics. LJ spaces them funny in my layout.
Full frontal shot of the terrarium. Isn't it neat?
You can see some condensation on the glass, that's how you know it's a terrarium. I added some kind of stringy white gunk to the top because it came with it. It's kind of ugly though.
Duh, a venus flytrap. Also, a butterwort.
Sundew.
Pitcher
In the back are two different kinds of pitchers. Ain't it purty?
Yeah, it's a drag how I'm not allowed to post stuff right after I write it anymore. Apparently people think they'll have a harder time charging for it if I'm giving it away for free.
Funny...that's just what the local prostitutes used to say to me...
Love it! I don't think I ever saw the movie with the giant carnivorous plant, but I seem to be hearing echos of some name being squealed... Valerie? Or was that the name of the plant? Too long ago....
One of my favorite books was the one about the Triffids... it wasn't until years later that I realized I'd seen it as a sci fi movie years before I read it... never clicked until I read it again.
Ah, Little Shop of Horrors is that old Roger Corman movie turned musical turned movie-musical about a giant plant that eats people.
I remember watching Day of the Triffids on Sir Graves Ghastly when I was little. It was so scary how everyone was blind and they were all grabbing that poor little girl because she could see. It was terrifying.
They are pretty cool, and I imagine they will enact swift and brutal revenge if I don't take good care of them. It'll be like that movie The Happening, only with more interesting dialogue. ;-]
Actually, I got this one as a present after putting it on my wish list a few months back. You should come visit me in the next day or so anyway, and you can check it out.
Well, I remember you talking about wanting/getting one, but didn't remember the particulars.
Would it be possible for me to swing by early this evening, 5-ish or 6-ish? Monday and Tuesday I'm going to be bogged down with suck-a-licious deadlines....
