The following movies make me laugh and/or lift my mood unfailingly:

Young Frankenstein

Spaceballs

Clay Pigeons

Shaun of the Dead

Zoolander

They all have clever writing, excellent performances, and at least the threat of people being seriously injured, if not murdered outright.

I was doubled over the first time I saw the gas station scene in Zoolander. "Noooo!"

Much of Zoolander is inspired by a Troy Donahue movie called "Mary Jane" about hoodlums. If I ever meet Ben Stiller in person, I'm totally going to call him out ask him about it.
