Hoping to go see my friend from work in a marimba recital at U of M. Not sure if I'll get to go as I may not have a ride. But I'm hoping so since this guy is both great personally and talented musically. Plus, he's a Simpsons fan.

I'm sick to death of Law & Order, and my friend hipped me to Criminal Minds. Didn't take long at all for me to get sucked in. Now I'm DVRing them 4 eps at a time. That Matthew Gray Gubler is yummy.

- one of the locations in the short (the T intersection near the water) looked so much like a place in Saskatoon that it jarred me.

I have no idea where it was shot. But lots of people shoot in Canada so it would make sense to me.

The actress you refer to is Kate Winslet, who is amazing. (not the one in this trailer, but from Eternal Sunshine) If you have not seen her debut in Heavenly Creatures, I would ask that you do so at your earliest opportunity.

Kate Winslet? No way! she's a million miles away from the shitty acting in Titanic; I didn't even recognise her! I suppose good writing makes a difference. I should check out Heavenly Creatures... Thanks

Well, a couple of chimps could have played those roles. It's a shame they had to waste so many great actors: DiCaprio, Winslet, Bates, Zane, even Bill Paxton was wasted on that crap shack.

Kind of like when you saw Butterfly Effect the first time you spent half the movie just wrapping your head around the idea that Ashton Kutcher could actually ACT. Dude!

That was hilarious! Yep, this is pretty spot-on when it come to the conventions for many of these trailers. Some of these trailers are soooooo cliched that I find that it makes me not want to see the movie just out of the spite, even if I hear from others that the movie is good. One cliche they didn't use is when they cut off the scene just before somebody swears. They act like you are supposed to be so impressed that you're going to see somebody use language you've heard over and over since middle school.

In the mean time, Criminal Minds is an enormous time burglar.
