Turns out, I'm actually better at making myself look like a zombie than like someone who actually knows how to apply makeups.

Only two poems thusfar in the Poetry Challenge. I am finding that unless I have a story in mind that I want to tell through poetic means, it is utterly impossible to create poetry without inspiration. FYI, you can read my fancy, rhyming, word thingys over to wednes_writes. Because I'm wednes, and I write.
I also changed the layout of my writing journal, which was a pain in the ass because I forgot about all the customization upgrades I get with my paid account. I've had a paid LJ for over 5 years now. Crazy. I don't even have Netflix. But I digress. I needed a layout that was more poetry friendly, which is to say something that won't screw with the appearance of the poem because there's a userpic in the way.
I require inspiration to write poetry. Basically that means I need to start doing more things I wouldn't ordinarily do. I need some fresh experiences, some new perspectives, more facts, more knowledge. The things that are most important to me seem far too trite and overdone to make poetry fine enough to put my name on. *snerk* Seems to me that the point of poetry is to prominently display the supposedly mundane. Small things can move us just as much as the big stuff--unless we're the repressed type that tries to talk themselves out of what they're actually feeling because its "silly." Anyway, my point here is that 100 poems is going to be a lot more than I thought. Luckily, I have a new notebook.

The photog and I were pretty excited to come upon such a scene. I knew I wanted a shot by some stone that simply said "mother" but I didn't know if we'd find one. Yay!

I'm not good at applying make up either. I own one form of eyeliner, I may own some mascara, and ... gosh, I thought I had some type of eye-stuff but maybe not since I can't think of what it could be. If I were good at choosing foundation or pressed powder, especially something that would cover up the acne I'm (out of no where) getting on my cheeks, I would be a happier person. Presently, I don't have the money for high-quality stuff and don't have opportunity to wear it much anyway, but I'm happy with the everyday clothes and nice clothes I've chosen for myself and I'm going to take the autumn/winter clothing plunge pretty soon. I think I'm going to get back into the 'doing my hair' thing before I worry about makeup. Not sure why this comment became all about me because I wanted to tell you how cute you look in all those pictures!

OMG, that's so close to how I feel, but for me it's at making myself look like a drag queen. I was blown away when several people complimented my hair and makeup at a LARP this weekend -- not the character, but me. They though *I* looked good with that hair and makeup. WTF?
