Influential Book List, because I'm not doing much work today:

There's a meme going around where you post the top 15 books (off the top of your head, no research) that have influenced you profoundly. Series' can count as one book, and non-fiction is a-okay.

My list, in no particular order:

1. Harry Potter series, duh.
2. Harriet Lerner's Dance of... series
3. My Ishmael by Daniel Quinn
4. On Writing by Stephen King
5. Psycho by Robert Bloch
6. Brave New World by Aldous Huxley
7. Stranger in a Strange Land by Heinlein
8. Johnny Got his Gun by Dalton Trumbo
9. Serial Killer (method and madness...) by Peter Vronsky
10. America Psycho: Bret Easton Ellis
11. Once and Future Goddess by Elinor Gadon
12. The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein
13. My Uncle Oswald by Roald Dahl
14. anything by Christopher Moore
15. A Stabbing for Sadie by me (what can I say, it affected me profoundly)

Ordinarily I would complain about your #14, but since it is Chris Moore, I will let it slide. I want a talking fruit bat, too :)

I know what you mean. Gospel According to Biff kind of stands out in its genius, but it's not like he's ever written a bad book.

Have you read the latest one, Fool?

Not yet.
It's on my list to read in August.

It's awfully good. WCFM got an advance copy a few months ago.

I do enjoy the King Lear.

Me, too. Most of Shakespeare, really.
