Daniel Faraday has a "Density" or does he???

Okay, lots of stuff happened on LOST last night. So let's get right into it:

Facebook said that Daniel Faraday would be revealing everything he knows. Wheeee! I think. After Alpert and Ben, Faraday probably knows more than anyone about what in hell is going on on that island. And as usual, I was not disappointed.

Lots of things we already figured out were confirmed, and stuff we'd wondered about was explained more fully. We now know that "Ellie" from The Hostiles is indeed, Eliose Hawking. We also learned the (kinda icky in terms of mental picutres) fact that Widmore is Faraday's father. We met the Theresa from season 3 or 4 (I forget which). And we learned about as much as we're going to about what was wrong with her and why her family was so mean to him.

Daniel outing Miles to Chang was actually pretty funny. I daresay it was the only funny thing that happened all evening. Of course Miles denied it, but at least we now know for sure why Chang sends his family away. Hopefully that is resolved in such a way that gives Miles closure and understanding. Once that happens, he will probably die like everyone else seems to when they reach the end of their story-arc. This brings me to the point that even though I was delighted that we were going to hear Faraday's story...it didn't occur to me until 9:57 that he was almost certainly going to die. Stupid LOST. ;-[

Now, onto the amazing stuff. About a month ago, I turned to [livejournal.com profile] uterdic and said "Ha Ha Ha, I think the series will end with Flight 815 landing safely in LA." We both laughed at my genius and went on about our business. Later, I repeated this theory to [livejournal.com profile] sudrin in the form of an LJ comment. After last night's talk of getting everyone back where they belong, I am now convinced that I am right. Assuming, of course, that they all actually belong somewhere. Most of their lives sucked before getting on that plane anyway.

So...The Incident will happen soon. Presumably, that's when poor Pierre Chang loses his arm. Little Charlotte and Little Miles will certainly be gone by then. I'm also very interested in The Pearl station and how that all came to pass. And of course The Purge will still happen at some point, probably next season.

Anyway, the plan is to go Back to the Beach OR to join The Hostiles. Could this mean that the whispers in the jungle are the survivors hearing themselves? Probably not.
In regard to Time Travel, are Miles and Eloise correct in saying that you can't change history--that whatever happens always happens? It certainly seems so given the events of Little Ben Linus. Or is Faraday (why do Eloise and Daniel and Widmore all have different last names, BTW) right in saying that The Variables can change everything--hence the safe arrival in LA of Flight 815.

And finally, a word about Eloise. While she seems like kind of a bitch, she also seemed totally resigned to the fact that she would indeed, one day kill her own son. According to her it was unavoidable, but according to Daniel right before he died, it is not. I guess we shall see.

I'm at work right now. It's the last day of Free Shipping. I have to say, my boss has done an awesome job of making sure we have enough staff for the HUGE call volumes we've had. I've been working my ass off, but it's been pretty okay, except maybe Tuesday.

My week has actually gone pretty well. I managed to figure out and eventually fix my iTunes issues. I got the weekend of the 15th off to leave town (never thought I would, since I put in for it 2 weeks late), and my copy of LOST season 4 came in the mail yesterday. As soon as I finish with my serial killer, I'll be able to watch it.

I've been pondering that. Eloise killing her own son not only works very well dramatically, but it also explains her whole attitude throughout his life. The line she gave Widmore about sacrifice certainly implies that he is dead. Plus, it looked like she shot him square in the heart--even on LOST that's a tough one to bounce back from.

That said, I would certainly prefer for him to be alive.
