And me, without an Electrified Fooling Machine!
I took the year off from pranking anyone. Most of my attempted LJ pranks were not so funny anyway.
Ann Landers says today (April 2th) is "reconciliation day" where you're supposed to try to mend a broken relationship. Don't really think I'll be doing that either, even though I have a few to choose from. In all honesty, I don't chuck people out of my life lightly--they all SORELY deserved it. So I'm cool with being estranged from a few select peeps.
Life on Mars ended last night. I actually stopped watching it after they changed the night it was on; but I did want to see how it ended. Having seen the finale after missing several episodes, I want to ask what the point was of having Lisa Bonet on the series at all? I was fairly certain that Sam was in a coma and would return to her at the end. Instead, she was nowhere to be found during the resolution. It was nice to see "no nuts" get promoted, even though it never technically happened. Maybe I'll watch the whole season someday. I suspect that if I go to all that trouble, I'd be better off getting the BBC version anyway.
So, Michael Imperioli, what's next for you? Just tell me when and where, and I'll watch!!
As you know, I hate Kate. She is selfish, conniving, far too impulsive, and hideously ugly. I could give a rat's ass about her relationships with men, whom she always seems to treat like crap while expecting to be treated like a Queen. Plus I hate how she smiles when she's telling someone something terrible. But I digress...last night was a Kate episode.
So, why in the world does Kate already know the woman with whom Sawyer had a baby? Is it just typical LOST overlapping? What is the nature of their relationship? Why wouldn't she leave Aaron with her, instead of risking everyone's safety by telling Mrs Littleton the truth? That said, I kind of figured that Aaron would end up with his grandmother. Of course, that whole exchange might have put absolutely everyone at risk. Does Aaron have to go back to the island? Why did Ben want him in the first place? Was it just to get Kate's attention so she'd go back? And why did Kate tell Mrs Littleton that Clare was alive? I have been assuming her dead for quite some time now, especially in light of her being with Jacob/Christian in the cabin. Then again, Kate might not actually know about that, I forget. So yeah...plenty of questions.
Jack certainly seems to be getting with the program to some degree. I'm curious to see what will happen when Jack and Locke meet up again. It was a bit surprising to see Jack not want to help little Ben, but expected given their history.
I confess, I was hoping for an alternate reality in which Ben had never lived. That would have been sweet, and also let us know what Ben's importance was. Of course, it might be way too early for us to have that information. As Miles eventually explained, it just doesn't work that way. Funnily enough, time travel works much closer to the way it does in Bill and Ted's Excellent adventure, which is awesome.
It appears that Widmore is "currently" in charge of The Others--meaning that he is running The Others during the time period Hurley et al are living in. I'll be most interested to see how this all plays out. It appears that it's due to Alpert and this development that turns little Ben into Ruthless Ben. Personally, I'm most worried about the Purge and who will survive it. If memory serves, Horace dies as his body was found in the pit.
Apprently, Ben has returned to the island to be judged. That can only mean the Smoke Monster.
Can't wait!! But that's not to say I still wouldn't like to see a Polar Bear.
H and I finally watched Resident Evil Extinction. I found it to be fairly derivative. But considering that it's both the third in a series, and is a movie based on a video game, it was pretty good. I had to go to the bathroom during the scene where she sets the birds on fire, so I'll have to catch that next time it's on. Overall though, I must say I do enjoy the Resident Evil movies, certainly more than I like those Evil Dead crapfests.
Now I'm off to work, then home to work on my serial killer. I'm WAAAAAAAAY behind where I need to be on that. I'm going back to my originally planned ending, which will also give the story an appropriate theme.

Forgot to mention, I hated the leading interraction between Kate and Dad Linus. He's sweet on her, and I don't think any more points will fit on the existing love triangle. ;-/

Now I have to look it up.
Thanks!!

I wish I had shut the TV off when Sam & Annie kissed.

Did we ever see Lisa Bonet's character again?
I must agree that the ending was surprising, but I don't think that necessarily made it good. Although I enjoyed that Keitel ended up being Sam's father.

Hopefully the t-shirt with a knife will still be at that link. They only offer their designs for 24hours.

All my Michigan pride aside, I really do hate those movies and do not understand the hero worship of Bruce Campbell. I mean, did you SEE Bubbo Ho Tep? Not exactly high cinema.
