Mostly talking about TV

Tonight is my rescheduled appearance on Parawomen Radio, which you can find over at Blog Talk Radio. I'll be talking about The Cat's Apprentice and trying not to fall asleep. I had to open today after staying up far too late watching Dimitri Martin and then listening to Harry Potter. I do enjoy that Dimitri Martin.

I'm craving a breakfast sammy from Tim Horton's. I hope one of my coworkers will be going to pick some up. They are bigger and more filling than McDonald's breakfast sammys, and they are closer to my work.

LOST was pretty good last night. But you know what they haven't mentioned in a long while? The Hanso Foundation. You'd think by this point, they'd bring them up, they being so linked with the Dharma Initiative and all...do we know exactly when it was that the "hostiles" took out the Dharma people? It appears that Sayid will want to take out the young Ben Linus to avoid the deaths all the people he supposedly killed. That doesn't seem like a good idea to me, but then I've always been convinced of Ben's goodness and importance. This is despite the fact that he swore to kill Penny Widmore. Should be interesting to see how THAT turned out.
I'm also bummed that we haven't learned more about the smoke monster by now.
Anyway, it appears that this week is largely setting us up for what's gonna happen next week. Next week should be crazy and explosive. Though I still wanna see a polar bear.

Big Love has been awesome this season. Last week, the thing I most wanted to happen, happened. I was pretty stoked.

BattleStar Galactica is supposed to do a 2-hour SciFi (or should I say SyFy for some asinine reason) BSG movie showing the initial attack from the POV of some skin jobs. This will be a few months after the series ends, which will be this Friday unless I am very much mistaken. 2-hour finale and then that's it. They do have a lot of questions to answer in that 2-hours, but I have no reason not to trust them. The show has been amazing thusfar.

Were you channeling me in this post, because you brought up a couple of the same exact points that I mentioned to David last night just as we were discussing everything after the show. I told David that I really hope that by the end of the show, we know what the smoke monster is and what's up with the polar bear being there. I'm assuming the polar bear has something to do with the Hydra Station, but where are the other animals? From the previews for next week, it looks like the deal with when the Hostiles took over will be answered next week. I guess we'll see!

I was of the impression that the smoke monster reveal would be early on in the season. We have basically been told where on the island it comes from, but nothing about why or what it actually is. I was quite sure it would grab Lapidus last night, if only for the pilot symmetry. But no...

So like you, I am stoked for next week.

I was almost certain that I saw something in the episode that might hint at the relationship between the smoke monster and Jacob. When Christian was talking to Sun and Lapidus, there was a point where the door swung open. I *THOUGHT* I saw some haze (smoke?) floating around the door. Maybe a tendril of smokey? Maybe Jacob and all of his manifestations (Christian and the various hallucinations the survivors were seeing in the jungle) are composed of the smoke monster? Maybe Jacob IS the smoke monster?

I agree, Jacob def had smoke around him.
It could be any of those...
