I haven't used my Hurley icon in soooooo long...

LOST last night was pretty awesome. Not a ton of new information, but things are moving right along...

First of all, it seems pretty obvious that Jin is alive, if you watched the recap ep. They plainly said that "Sun believes her husband to be dead" which is not what they would say if he was actually dead. Maybe they were gonna kill him off so he could play Sulu, but since that didn't work out...I'm confident that Jin is alive.

Ben Linus is the good guy. I'm quite sure of it. At first I forsaw a Dr X versus Magnito relationship between Ben Linus and Widmore. Now it seems clear that Widmore has selfish motives and Ben has altruistic ones.

I think the Dharma people were invaders and pretty much deserved to be off'd. The hostiles are more than likely the good guys as well, protecting the island from people like Widmore.

I also think Hurley seriously fucked up not trusting Ben. I can certainly see where he was going with that, but it was the wrong move. I do want to see what the falling out between Sayid and Ben is. I imagine Sayid found out that the people he's been killing had nothing to do with Nadia's death. Bummer.

As for Kate, I don't care about Kate. But I don't believe that Sun really holds her blameless for Jin's "death."

There was a rumor circulating that we were going to find out the origin of the smoke monster last night. If we did, I must have missed it. I also suspect that with all that jumping around people are doing thru time, that we will be seeing another polar bear. I sure hope so.

I'll be off to work in a few hours for a short shift. Then tomorrow I am off, then back on Saturday for another short shift. Nice.
One of my supervisors called me into the conference room for a meeting on Tuesday. Of course I thought it would be for something terrible, a layoff or a write-up or something. They wanted to tell me that I'm one of the top four sellers in my department, and they want me to work on ways we can train people to improve their sales. That felt pretty good, I must say. I like being good at my job again...

Congrats on being awesome at your job! Maybe you'll get a raise!

I also enjoyed Lost last night, except for continuously having to pause it to explain things to Cecil, who was not properly paying attention. He has a hard time following non-linear story lines as it is, so the crackberry checking during the show last night didn't help.

Although I am convinced that C. Widmore is a bad guy, I'm still not sure that Ben is a good guy...

Ben is a very ruthless man, but I think he has larger reasons for the things he does.

Halfway through the episode I moved upstairs to watch it in my room, and my stepdad's parting words were, totally deadpan: "Well, I'm sure glad they're answering questions this season." Jumping through time and Desmond being apparently immune and blahblahblah... sigh. This show drives me insane, seriously.

My instinct to trust Hurely makes me not trust Ben, still. Although I fear this is going to be a Snape-esque issue and I won't get to brag like I can that I always trusted Snape. I don't think Widmore is a good man, either, honestly. Ben can have reasons, but they can be bad reasons.

My ears seriously perked at that BELIEVES Jin to be dead. I've honestly kind of wondered the whole time about whether or not he actually died. There were a bunch of people on the freighter still and I wondered whether or not they managed to get on a raft. But then where is he, since the freighter was outside the radius of the island? It's all very confusing.

Also, how did our people interact with the Dharma people in that one scene? Not with the arrows, but with the guns and cutting off hands and stuff. Because that never happened, so it couldn't have happened, if we believe Faraday, right? Ahhh I don't know.

I think people can react with one another in between time jumps, but nothing lasting or permanent can happen. Of course that theory goes out the window when Locke gets shot...although the rules may not apply to Locke.

It just seems like Ben knows a lot more than anyone else, except maybe Alpert or Jacob. I tend to think he's a ruthless guy with good motives. I think Locke is becoming the same way, has been since the end of season 3.

Desmond would be immune to the time jumps since he is with his constant: Penny. Unless Charlotte finds her constant, she's going to end up dying like Dez almost did.

This season is going to kick some ass!!!

The way I understood it, the island is traveling through time, but it's still in the same place. If Jin and other people on the freighter survived the explosion, then they should still be able to see and get back to the island, but the people who had been on it would be gone...? Maybe?

Who knows! They don't tell us anything!

Um NVM apparently my brain went kinda flooey and didn't remember the friggin finale. Argh.

(The "They don't tell us anything!" still stands, though.)
